The K9/L0/L1 models were quite technologically advanced and had an Electronic steering damper, Slipper clutch, Radial brakes with Monobloc calipers, Adjustable pegs, 3 way adjustable engine mapping, Showa Big Piston Forks (BPF) and Fully adjustable rear Showa suspension as part of their standard specification. Factory fitted Suzuki SAIS immobiliser. The engine was all new for the model, and a shorter stroke, higher revving unit than it’s K7/K8 predecessor.
This particular bike has a very smart and sweet sounding Carbon tipped GP exhaust (not Akrapovic, originals supplied) R&G exhaust hanger, adjustable shorter levers, race cowl (with pillion seat and pegs) Stomp grips, Tri-colour seat cover with GSX-R insignia, tinted double bubble screen, tail tidy (original supplied) and R&G paddock stand bobbins also fitted.
Well cared for, it needs nothing at all, and is ‘on the button’ in all ways, remaining one of the most accomplished, untemperamental and usable superbikes.
