These were launched in 2015 to commemorate 30 years of GSX-R production, from the introduction of the first GSX-R, the 750 Slabside in 1985

These bikes were the very last of the ‘analogue’ GSX-Rs and and built upon the specification of the excellent L2-L5 model which in itself was the most radically re-engineered GSX-R1000 since the fabled K5/K6 model

These are the last of the big twin homologation bikes, based on the later 1299 model but retaining an 1198cc motor for motorsport purposes. The 1198cc SuperQuadro motor is essentially the same as that used in the very exotic Superleggera model, developing 205bhp and 101 lb/ft. This one is a late registered example, a proper ‘end of an era’ machine

An utterly fabulous machine, the original Panigale 1199 R launched in 2013 and shared virtually nothing in common with it’s forebear, the 1198 R. Most significantly, it was frameless, using it’s engine and airbox as it’s chassis where the engine itself acts as a stressed member.

The Panigale R Gen 2 followed in 2015, based upon the then new Panigale 1299. List price when new in 2015 was £28995 and the model was, in common with all the Ducati R models that preceded it, the ultimate expression of Ducati’s engineering prowess. It’s raison d’etre solely for the purpose of homologating key parts for racing purposes. It goes without saying that these bikes are rare, exclusive and have a distinct current and future collectability.

The motor itself was heavily modified over the standard ‘SuperQuadro’ unit, and in effect the highly exotic Superleggera motor that had launched in 2014 on the lightweight model that bore it’s name. It significantly had titanium rods, a lighter flywheel, DLC anti friction coated rocker arms and revised Mitsubishi fuelling/mapping. This resulted in an internal weight saving of 1.3 kg, lending itself to faster ‘spinning up’ and allowing an increased rev limit of 12000 rpm (+500 rpm over lesser versions)

It runs shortened gearing at 15/41, and has a full ‘Racing Evo’ Akrapovic titanium exhaust system. With these changes crankshaft power grew to 205bhp. And so, the already fearsome ‘big’ Panigale, became even faster, even noiser, even more monstrous, and of course, even more desirable.

The ‘R’ also had a beautifully crafted and finished lightweight aluminium fuel tank, and a 4 way adjustable swingarm pivot. It wore many expensive Ducati Corse Carbon Fibre parts, quite befitting of it’s £28995 price tag. These included a  front hugger, rear hugger, instrument panel surround, ignition shroud, heel guards, infill panels, clutch cover, rear suspension guard and swingarm protector

Bristling with high technological electronic and mechanical componentry the rest of the specification included Ohlins NIX30 43mm dia. TiN coated forks with manual compression and rebound adjustment, Ohlins TTX36 monoshock with manual compression and rebound adjustment, and adjustable linkage, Ohlins fully adjustable steering damper, Brembo Monobloc M50 radial calipers, 330mm dia. floating discs and radial master cylinder, Marchesini forged light alloy wheels, IMU – Internal Measurement Unit in conjunction with Bosch Inertial Platform, DWC Evo – Ducati Wheelie Control Evo, DDA – Ducati Data Analyser, ABS – Bosch 3-level Electronic Antilock Braking System, DTC – Ducati Traction Control, EBC – Engine Braking Control, DQS – Ducati Quickshifter Up/Down with AutoBlipper, RbW – Ride by Wire throttle control, Switchable engine maps – Rain, Sport, Wet, Taller screen, MOTO GP derived LCD instruments and Ducati engine immobiliser

This bike also benefits from full Armourfend PPF, and EvoTech tail tidy and an Optimate flylead

Wonderful bike, in exceptional, original condition. A truly stunning motorcycle that both sounds and looks awesome, with monstrous, mindblowing performance from its 205 bhp / 101 lb ft L-Twin ‘R’ spec. Superquadro motor. These are brilliant bikes that provide an incredible amount of fun. Motive power is by Suzuki’s venerable 398cc DOHC liquid cooled single 4v motor developing 39bhp, dry sumped and mated to a 5 speed ‘box and wet clutch

An open Quill exhaust is fitted to this bike and ensures that it sounds utterly superb, ‘barking’ and responding to throttle as only a bike of this ilk will, and performance is properly decent. It also has an LED headlight, LED tail light unit, LED indicators and tail tidy

Also provided is the original exhaust, headlight and number plate hanger

Long travel suspension incorporates fully adjustable 49mm diameter inverted forks at the front, with a fully adjustable monoshock at the rear. In terms of braking, a large single 310mm diameter front disc with 2 piston caliper works alongside a 220mm diameter rear disc, and proves an excellent, most effective combination. Pirelli MT21 Rallycross tyres wrap around a 21″ diameter front spoked wheel, and 18″ diameter rear 

Very light, with strong brakes, super agile handling and a ‘thumper’ engine that thrives on being worked, it all adds up to an absolute hoot of a bike, and one of the best things you can have for less than perfect weather conditions, or a bit of green laning on a Sunday morning

This bike has exceptional low ownership and mileage provenance, and will not be easily found elsewhere. In excellent, original condition with a fresh lube service and new MOT provided, it’s in fine mechanical fettle and good to go. A fabulous, grin inducing machine

The 900 RR-W (and identical X) is the last of the ‘original’ carb fed ‘Blades, prior to the introduction of the 929 RR-Y. The Fireblade was the most significant bike of it’s time when launched in 1992, and set the tone for all future sports bike development. The key thing was it’s light weight compared to other big sports bikes such as Yamaha’s Thunderace and Kawasaki’s ZX-9R. Between 1992 and 1999, the Fireblade was continually honed and developed, ultimately culminating in this model, the RR-X, the last of the carb fed models, and the last of an era as the later Fi ‘Blades were very different bikes

This particular example is totally standard and original, other than for a tinted windscreen and carbon fibre style rear hugger. And so from it’s indicators, to it’s bar ends, to it’s number plate hanger, to it’s heel plates, to it’s exhaust, it’s exactly as when it left the Honda showroom almost 23 years ago. It still wears it’s original number plate showing the supplying dealer Taz Motorcycles of Peterborough

This bike will clearly appeal to any buyer that places great importance on originality, which in our view, when purchasing any collectable car or motorcycle is paramount. For that reason alone it must not be confused with more plentiful, lesser examples which in reality just do not compare

This bike has led a charmed, easy existence, and with it’s genuine mileage of 22000 miles rides quite beautifully. Fireblades of this era are so comfortable compared to more modern sportsbikes, as well as being totally docile and untemperamental. In essence, just a lovely machine to ride

As with many Benellis, these are a most unusual bike, fairly rare to be found, and with a distinctly quirky and characterful nature. The 500cc parallel twin motor offers fuss free, understressed performance with a suitably fruity exhaust note, and the bike has quality componentry throughout including 50mm USD adjustable forks, fully adjustable rear monoshock suspension and twin 320mm diameter floating discs with 4 piston calipers and ABS. Being the ‘Trail’ model our bike also has aluminium alloy cross spoked wheels fitted 

‘Leoncino’ translates to ‘Lion Cub’ and these machines were designed by the fashion gurus at CentoStile Benelli. It shows, and the Leoncino is super stylish with a curvaceous fuel tank, floating tail section, stubby mudguard, LCD instruments, chunky handlebars, full LED lighting package and the ‘piece de resistance’ which is the Lion of Persaro sitting atop the front mudgaurd

This particular bike is standard, and original, as it left the factory other than for some Italian-esqe decals to the front and rear huggers and a very pretty tricolore gel tank pad

They ride very well, totally untemperamental and very user friendly. Decent handling and brakes complement a willing motor

These are a very stylish little bike, and in our opinion a high quality product with a durable finish. This particular example has been owned by a conscientious young man whom has cared for it very well, and it is in excellent order

Worth mentioning that there is an excellent spares supply for anything and everything through the excellent Zontes UK importers/distributors in Kent

The little motor has an aluminium alloy cylinder CNC machined from billet by Zontes in house, and develops 14.5 bhp which is right at the top of the legal UK 125cc permitted limit

The specification is genuinely impressive, with Bosch MSE 8.0 fuel injection and engine management, a 20 litre galvanised fuel tank allowing a 600 mile range, slipper clutch, full digital LCD instrumention with gear indicator, Dual Channel Bosch ABS, engine protection bars, lightweight tubeless spoked rims, 300mm diameter brake disc, LED lights and indicators, centrally mounted monoshock rear suspension, electronic seat lock, stainless steel exhaust, dual USB ports, aluminium alloy swingarm and forged handguards

This one has some high quality options fitted which include a Shad luggage rack and 39 litre top box, Oxford heated grips and Tucano Urbano handlebar muffs
