MODEL SUMMARY.
A possibly unique opportunity to buy a 1 owner, very low mileage Ducati Monster S4 RS. A rare Ducati, even amongst rare Ducatis
UK supplied by Moto Rapido to it’s sole owner in April 2006. Registered from new on a cherished registration number which stays with the bike. Incredibly, just 1285 miles from new
The bike was used during 2006-2009 and serviced annually by Moto Rapido at 628 miles 31/5/06, 1204 miles 05/09/07, and 1257 miles 01/04/09. From November 2010 at 1267 miles, the bike remained unused, always retained and stored correctly by it’s original owner. In September 2021, with the mileage still at 1267 miles, the bike was subject to a recommissioning service which included timing belts, plugs, fuel filter, brake/clutch fluid, oil/filter and coolant, and it was then MOTd in February 2022 at 1269 miles in preparation for coming to market in the summer months. Current mileage is, as previously stated, 1285 miles
The original Bridgstone BT014s, whilst still looking almost as new, will be replaced with new tyres at point of sale
And so, whilst the mileage is extremely low, and accordingly service history will be limited, we do have the original stamped service book, every service bill and invoice from Moto Rapido in the early days, the original bill of sale, the invoice for the September 2021 major service, the Original Certificate of Conformity, original Alpha Dot paperwork, all previous MOTs in existence, old tax discs, original 2006 Ducati Sales literature, the current MOT expiring February 2023 and a clear HPI report. All owner’s handbooks/documents/keys are also present (including Red ‘Master’ key)
The S4 RS utilised the later ‘Testastretta’ derivative of the 90 degree Desmo V-Twin which featured a narrow head, much revised valve gear, and had been previously seen in the 998/999 Superbikes. Developing 130 bhp and 77 lb/ft this was far and away the most powerful Monster that had been seen. The rest of the mechanical spec. utilised the best of everything and featured fully adjustable 43mm dia. Ohlins forks with TiN surface treatment, a fully adjustable rear Ohlins monoshock, gorgeous aluminium single sided swingarm and Brembo radially mounted calipers with 4 pistons/4 pads and 320mm diameter discs. The aforementioned lightweight Marchesini rims finished in White also featured
Lightweight Ducati Corse carbon fibre parts abounded including the front mudguard, rear hugger and chainguard, timing belt covers, lower seat panels, radiator end caps and exhaust shield
It all added up to a machine of superb abilities, with the distinctive Ducati Testastretta Desmo V-Twin engine sounding great and offering torquey, grunty performance, allied to confidence inspiring, surefooted, handling and agility, with hugely powerful braking
These Monster S4RS’s are genuinely very rare bikes indeed, and as already said are considerably more rare than many other rare Ducati models in terms of numbers produced, and pertinently UK supplied examples
This particular bike is an absolute dream. Just 1 owner from new and with extremely low mileage. It’s provenance is beyond question, and it is in wonderful condition. Totally stock, standard and virginal, as it left the Ducati factory. It offers a not easily found opportunity for the right buyer
