MODEL SUMMARY.

Wow ! Utterly magnificent, pristine example of a 2015 15 registered Yamaha YZF-R1 2CR in 4C8 in Team Yamaha Blue/Matte Silver with Blue Wheels. The 2CR was the seventh generation of Yamaha’s R1

2 owners from new with the second purchasing the bike at 600 miles from the supplying Yamaha dealer in August 2015. 9100 miles with service history including it’s original stamped service book. Just had Shell Advance Ultra 10w 40 fully synthetic oil service and recent brake fluid change, coolant flush/refill. As new matching Bridgestone RS10s fitted. New MOT provided at point of sale. Clear HPI report. All books/documents/keys (including Red ‘Master) present

The 2CR model launched in 2015, and, as with the original 4XV model, again moved the Superbike game forward by quite a big leap. Contemporary tests unanimously declared the bike to be the best of it’s type, and that was against very stiff oppostion from Ducati’s 1299 Panigale and BMW’s Gen 3 S1000RR. The other Japanese rivals, namely Honda’s Fireblade, Suzuki’s GSX-R 1000 and Kawasaki’s ZX-10R weren’t even on the same page, all being models that had been in production for some time

What set the R1 2CR apart was it’s unprecedented and extensive use of electronics, used throughout whether for engine management, chassis control, or braking. A plethora of acronyms filled the handbook and the technology included Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake (YCC-I) Yamaha Transistor Controlled Ignition (TCI) Yamaha Power Delivery Mode (PWR) Yamaha Traction Control System (TCS) Yamaha Launch Control System (LCS) Yamaha Lift Control (LIF) Yamaha Slide Control System (SCS) Yamaha Quick Shifter System (YQSS) Yamaha Communication Control Unit (CCU) Yamaha Suspension Control Unit (SCU) and a Thin Film Transistor (TFT) LCD instrument panel

The mechanical specification included a 998cc ‘Crossplane’ In-Line 4 motor developing 200 ps, and a 6 speed transmission allied to a wet multiplate ‘slipper’ clutch. Suspension featured 43mm KYB USD forks, fully adjustable, with 4.7-in travel and a KYB rear Single shock with piggyback reservoir, 4-way adjustable, with again, 4.7- in travel. Stopping was taken care of by 320mm diameter fully floating front discs, Radially mounted 4-piston calipers, UBS (Unified Braking System) with ABS and a 220mm rear disc, UBS (Unified Braking System) ABS

This particular bike has been very well cared for, and the pride and joy of it’s owner, Options fitted to it are an Akrapovic titanium exhaust with carbon fibre cap, Carbon fibre exhaust heat shield, GB Racing engine covers, R&G ‘Aero’ crash bungs and a Tail tidy. It also has a dedicated Yamaha battery charger and interface lead, and a useful 12v auxiliary power supply fed from the switched ignition circuit

A phenomenal bit of kit and an awe inspiring machine. If you are looking for one of these, this one is quite lovely and will not disappoint

MODEL SUMMARY.

WOW ! An opportunity to buy one of the last of the line Daytona 675 Rs, one of the greatest Supersports ever produced, and a bike of the ilk not likely to be produced by Triumph again

This is a 2017 66 Registered Daytona 675 R ABS in Matt Phantom Black/Matt Aluminium Silver with Red Subframe. Registered January 2017 on a ’66’ prefix it was bought as an investment by it’s sole owner from new and has covered just 165 miles from new. It goes without saying that it is perfect, pristine, and effectively new. All stickers advising of the running in procedure, and other information, are still in place. The original owner’s plans have changed, and we can now make it available

The 675 R is the ultimate incarnation of the Daytona 675, itself an extremely accomplished machine, and this is the very last of them. The powerplant is a 675cc triple cylinder unit producing 128bhp, and utilising twin injectors per cylinder, ceramic coated engine bores and titanium valves, to allow a scintillating 14400 rpm red line with sound track to match

The specification includes the best from Ohlins and Brembo, having Ohlins NiX 30 fully adjustable USD forks, Ohlins TTX36 fully adjustable monoshock rear suspension, Brembo MCS with adjustable span lever, Brembo monobloc 4 piston calipers with fully floating 310mm diameter front discs and Brembo rear brake caliper with 220mm disc. A Triumph Quickshifter is fitted as standard, working in conjunction with the ECU and the clutch is a ‘slipper’ unit allowing seamless high (engine) speed downchanges

The bike uses a high pressure die cast twin spar frame with twin sided cast aluminium alloy swingarm, and has cast aluminium wheels with red pinstripes, LCD instrumentation with gear position indicator, programmable gearchange lights,  analogue tacho, digital speedo, fuel gauge and clock, carbon fibre infill panels, carbon fibre front mudguard and a carbon fibre rear hugger. A Triumph engine immobiliser is also fitted.

This particular bike has some options fitted from new, all from the Genuine Triumph Accessories catalogue, and these include a  tail tidy, anodised black brake reservoir, a colour coded race cowl (with pillion seat) and an ever useful Optimate flylead

Other than for Switchable ABS with ‘Track Mode’ this is a pure, analogue machine, and not only the last of it’s own particular line, but the last of a breed that will never be seen again. Dynamically these are an incredible bike, supremely capable, and the 675 Triple is a motor of immense character, all the time emitting it’s characteristic wail. Without overstating matters, and without doubt, this is one of the purest two wheel riding experiences on offer

Must surely become ever more sought after as time goes on. If you are looking for a future classic, well, perhaps you have just found one………..

MODEL SUMMARY.

Wow ! Perfect example of a 2012 12 Registered Benelli TNT 899 in Nero (Black)

Just 300 miles from new and in perfect, pristine, original condition. 2 owners from new. The original owner treated it as a piece of art, owning it from 2012 until 2020 and covering just 200 miles. The second owner purchased the bike in 2020 from a franchised dealer but ultimately it has proven unsuitable for his needs, which are predominantly riding with pillion. As such, he has part exchanged it in with a touring bike

It has just had a Motul 7100 10w 60 fully synthetic oil and filter service, and it has it’s stamped original service book, a previous bill of sale  and CD Rom Owners’ pack. As new matching Dunlop Sportmax D208s are fitted as are all documents/keys (3 sets)

These are a most unusual bike, fairly rare to be found , and aimed at the likes of Triumph’s Street/Speed Triples, Ducati’s Monsters and Aprilia’s Tuonos, but with a little more character and individuality. As such, they are a naked sports bike, with an 899cc 118bhp / 65 lb/ft triple cylinder motor, and very high quality componentry including Brembo brakes, 50mm Marzocchi USD forks, adjustable Sachs rear Mono shock, Tubular trellis framework and a truly gorgeous Tubular swingarm

They ride very well, totally untemperamental and very user friendly. Decent handling and brakes complement a motor which just sounds better and better the harder you rev it

This bike is totally standard and as it left the Benelli factory, other than for an R&G tail tidy

The quirky, slightly unusual nature and styling of this bike makes it infinitely more ‘special’ than it’s more plentiful rivals, and it would be very hard to come across another such as this, in such perfect condition, and with such low mileage. Superb, characterful machine in every sense

MODEL SUMMARY.

Pristine example of a 2017 17 registered Husqvarna 701 SuperMoto in White/Yellow/Blue

2 owners from new, and 9000 miles with good service history present including it’s original stamped service book, a previous bill of sale, and service bills/invoices. Major service carried out at 8900 miles including valve clearances. As new matching Continental ContiAttack SMs fitted and it has it’s owners’ manual, a clear HPI report and all books/keys/documents present

This particular bike has the Akrapovic Tuning Kit fitted comprising a ‘Slip on line’ Titanium Carbon Fibre tipped exhaust, revised air filter box, air filter box cover, SLS cover, EVAP removal and re-map. Cost of this including fitment is upwards of £900, and greatly enhances the bike’s soundtrack, as well as increasing power. It also has Front and rear spindle protectors in white, Aluminium paddock stand bobbins, Sump guard, R&G carbon exhaust protector, Extended decal pack and Rim tape

These are an absolute hoot of a bike, one of the best SuperMotos on the market. Big capacity single cylinder ‘thumper’ delivers in the unique way these type of motors do. With 74bhp, very little weight and plenty of torque, they are decently quick. Coupled to an utterly brilliant chassis and brakes, it all adds up to a lot of fun, and it’s easy to see why many sports bike riders are turning to this kind of machine as they just offer such a great riding experience

The technical specification includes the Liquid Cooled Single 690cc SOHC 4v 74 bhp motor, allied to a 6 speed manual transmission with a hydraulically actuated wet Slipper clutch and 17″ diameter spoked rims with 120/70 and 160/60 tyres, Bosch ABS, 300mm diameter front disc with Brembo 4 piston caliper, WP fully adjustable 48mm diameter USD forks, WP rear shock absorber with Pro-Lever linkage, Keihin Engine Management System with Ride by Wire throttle and Twin ignition, 215mm front wheel travel, 250mm rear wheel travel, LCD instruments, Neken handlebars, Adjustable levers, Hand guards, Fork protectors and a Self-supporting rear subframe with integrated 13 litre fuel tank in weight optimised position

An extremely accomplished bike which offers significant two wheel thrills, one of the best of it’s kind, and this one a particularly smart example with all the right bits fitted, needing nothing at all and ready to go

MODEL SUMMARY.

Yamaha XS-2 650 in Mandarin Orange. 1972 K Reg. Registered Historic vehicle

This is a truly delightful bike that has had significant money spent on it across the last few years. Brought into the UK around 10 years ago, it has been a work in progress for it’s owner whom has carefully brought it back to it’s former glory. As such, it is genuinely very clean, and very smart, with bright shiny paintwork and excellent brightwork. Ultimately, the bike was only registered in the UK upon the owner’s emigration to Spain at which point it had to be sold. This was in 2020 and so the bike is now registered on a period 1972 ‘K’ suffix number, and is classified ‘Historic’ for mot and road tax purposes

Whilst the bike ran very nicely when we purchased it, with a sweet sounding motor, it was unfortunately burning a little oil, and had a visible oil leak. We therefore had the engine removed from the frame, and stripped by a very proper and knowledgeable company, and resultantly it has now been rebored +0.5mm with new pistons/rings, the cylinder head stripped to a bare casting and decoked with the valves re-lapped, and reassembled carefully with a new timing chain and all new gaskets

The sump pan has been removed enabling cleaning/inspection of the sump filter, and it was noted that a revised filter has been fitted with a solid corner previously. These bikes were known for problems with the integral sump oil filters, where one corner would collapse rendering the filter obselete. It has then been filled with fresh Castrol 20w 50 mineral oil, fitted with new NGK B8ES spark plugs, and the previously replaced new points re-installed and all set accordingly

Other recent work includes a new front brake master cylinder with new caliper piston and seals, carburettor strip and rebuild, new matching Mitas tyres and plenty of reconditioning to paintwork, chrome and other mechanical parts

The XS-2 benefitted from having both electric start and kick start, with an integral decompressor unit operated from a lever on the RH handlebar serving both that and the starter motor circuit, and developed a healthy 53bhp @ 7000rpm from it’s willing, untemperamental 653cc parallel twin motor. Allied to a 5 speed ‘box, with LHS gearchange, this bike is just a lovely thing to run about on. It also benefits from a front disc brake, allowing decent progress to be made at all times, with the confidence that that brings

The bike has matching numbers and displays the correct S650-1xxxxx chassis number for this variant, along with it’s original engine displaying the same S650-1xxxxx number. There is a good amount of varied documentation present  including V5, HPI report, dating certificate, original V55 paperwork, some bills, magazine features and Haynes manual. The original (complete) tool kit is also present and stowed under the side hinged seat

Open the fuel taps, set the choke, pull on the small decompressor/electric start lever and it will burst in to life immediately, settling down to an even and suitably throaty idle. On the road, it rides and handles beautifully, with good performance and excellent handling and brakes. An emminently usable, depreciation proof, characterful classic motorcycle, that has had all the work done, and properly so. A little gem that will offer much enjoyment and pride of ownership

MODEL SUMMARY.

Pristine example of a 2018 18 registered Husqvarna 701 SuperMoto in White/Yellow/Blue

7000 miles with good service history present including it’s original stamped service book, and service bills/invoices. Major service carried out at 5900 miles including valve clearances. As new matching Michelin Pilot Powers and it has it’s owners’ manual, a clear HPI report and all books/keys/documents present

It also has Front and rear spindle protectors in black, R&G paddock stand bobbins and MCN carbon fibre style ignition shroud, chainguard trim and fork tops

An extremely accomplished bike which offers significant two wheel thrills, one of the best of it’s kind, and this one has the ‘must have’ Akrapovic Tuning Kit. Needs nothing at all, ready to go.

MODEL SUMMARY.

Wow ! Magnificent standard, original, and totally unspoilt Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6 GL Mk3 5-door in Glacier White with Grey ‘Matlock’ velour trim. Registered in July 1991 on an ‘H’ prefix, this is the prettier pre-facelift Mk3 with cleaner, less fussy styling

Originally registered to Vauxhall Motors Limited, it was initially run as one of their own cars and meticulously serviced by Vauxhall franchised dealers, Welch of Newport. The original service book displays a full history with them to 36458 miles in 1994, at which point it was sold in August of that year through the Network Q Vauxhall dealer network, specifically Thame Vauxhall in Oxfordshire, to it’s 2nd keeper whom was a gentleman from Chesham in Buckinghamshire. This gentleman used the vehicle for a short while, taking the mileage to approximately where it is now, but sadly became ill and the car ultimately became ‘mothballed’ in the family garage for 26 years, until resurfacing and being sold by the family in 2020

It remained as it always was, a pristine 2 owner, 42000 mile car, in totally original, unspoilt condition. Naturally some mechanical recommisioning was required and during 2020 the car was subject to a replacement cambelt and water pump, oil & filter changed, replacement radiator with coolant flush and fresh antifreeze mixture, replacement centre and rear exhaust sections, replacement front brake discs and pads, replacement rear wheel cylinders, replacement brake master cylinder and a new battery. It wears 4 matching Michelin tyres with decent tread life, and when presented for MOT in August 2020 it passed with no advisories

Since the above, we have also just changed the oil and filter again using GM 10w/40 semi synthetic oil with o.e GM filter, thereby treating the previous recent change as a flush, and replaced the spark plugs with new NGK BPR6Es and the air filter for good measure

This car is quite remarkable, a total gem, completely original. This must not be underestimated, and makes it very rare indeed. This is not a restored, re-painted car brought back to former glory, but one that has remained unspoilt and untouched from new. A car can only be original once. All characterising original features such as it’s correct GL wheel trims, Philips model 670 radio/cassette, optional dealer fit Vauxhall mudflaps, to it’s black rear tailgate section with correctly placed badges, silver grille, bodyside mouldings, Carello headlamps all exactly as they should be. It still displays it’s Thame Vauxhall registration plates, and accompanying tax disc holder and tax disc that expired in July 1995, as placed in the window by Thame Vauxhall prior to the 2nd keeper taking delivery all those years ago. All windows display the registration number etched on to the glass. The spare wheel, jack and toolkit in their original packaging are all present and correct, as are the tailored car mats, fitted in the car from new

The interior is all but perfect, exactly as it left the factory. Photographed without it’s overmats in, the footwell carpets are as new, as are the matching doorcards, and the headlining. This really is a ‘time warp’ car, a phrase used all too often, but this car really is exactly as it always was, and sitting in it now is no different to sitting in it in the early ’90s. The GL model was a nice place to be and offered many niceties over the lesser ‘Base’ and ‘L’ models, including much plusher trim in ‘Matlock’ velour, a rev counter, electric front windows, rear centre armrest, additional courtesy lamps, green tinted glass, electric headlamp levelling and an electric aerial antenna. Additionally, there was a glass tilt/slide sunroof, front and rear headrests, vanity mirror, halogen headlamps, central door locking and electrically operated and heated door mirrors. Externally, the GL had body coloured bumpers, smarter wheeltrims, the black rear tailgate section, and in this case as mentioned previously, dealer fitted Vauxhall mudflaps. It still looks very smart, with everything working as it should

These MK3 Cavaliers always were a very good car. This particular car drives essentially as new, that is to say tight, and squeak and rattle free. The ’16SV’ motor is beautifully smooth, with willing performance, and allied to highish gearing makes for a most refined and comfortable, effortless driving experience. The gearbox and clutch are both light, and easy in operation, and the 175/70 14s allow excellent ride quality. In summary, it remains, in all sincerity, a quite lovely car to drive, and the feel good factor is further enhanced by the fact that it’s 30 odd years old and looks and feels almost brand new

We remember these MK3 Cavaliers well from our early car trading days, and had many  ex-fleet examples when they were quite new back in the ’90s. Aimed squarely at Ford’s Sierra, in terms of the ‘cooking’ models, as here, they were a better car without any doubt, and we say that as die-hard Ford enthusiasts. The other main rival was Peugeot’s 405, a fine driving car, but the Cavalier ruled the world back then and was the company car of choice.

Without doubt one of the nicest and original Cavaliers of this era that will be found, this car is utterly superb in every way. With excellent ownership and mileage provenance, and needing nothing at all, this is a wonderful modern classic. Useable and untemperamental, it will provide many smiles and much fun, and should prove a sound investment
