WOW ! An opportunity to buy one of the first generation Daytona 675 Rs, one of the greatest Supersports ever produced

This is a 2013 13 Registered example in Crystal White Pearl with Red Subframe. 10000 miles with service history including it’s original stamped service book, a previous bill of sale, bills/invoices and old MOTs. The bike is quite lovely, genuinely so in every regard, in actual fact quite exceptional. However, we must draw attention to the fact that in March 2021 it was subject to an insurance claim and this resulted in it being recorded as a CAT N. This took place during the last owner’s ownership, and with the bike coming to us directly from him we have all details of the claim. It is all documented in the bike’s history, but briefly, light panel damage was sustained due to a car reversing into it whilst stationary and the rider sitting on it at the time. We also have a photo of the damage, and when one is made aware of all the facts, it is nothing less than farcical that the bike was recorded

The 675 R is the ultimate incarnation of the Daytona 675, itself an extremely accomplished machine, and this the first generation is undoubtedlt the prettiest defined by it’s underseat exhaust. The powerplant is the ususal 675cc triple cylinder unit producing 125ps, with a scintillating 14000 rpm red line with sound track to match

The specification includes the best from Ohlins and Brembo, having Ohlins NiX 30 43mm diameter fully adjustable USD forks, Ohlins TTX36 fully adjustable monoshock rear suspension, Brembo monobloc 4 piston calipers with fully floating 310mm diameter front discs and Brembo radial master cylinder, and Brembo rear brake caliper with 220mm disc. A Triumph Quickshifter is fitted as standard, working in conjunction with the ECU and the clutch is a ‘slipper’ unit allowing seamless high (engine) speed downchanges

The bike uses a high pressure die cast twin spar frame with twin sided cast aluminium alloy swingarm, and has cast aluminium wheels with red pinstripes, LCD instrumentation with gear position indicator, programmable gearchange lights,  analogue tacho, digital speedo, fuel gauge and clock, carbon fibre infill panels, carbon fibre front mudguard and a carbon fibre rear hugger

This particular bike has had an absolute fortune spent on it and options fitted include an Akrapovic titanium exhaust with carbon fibre tip (original supplied) at a cost of £816 with invoice, Genuine Triumph Accessories colour coded race cowl (pillion seat supplied) Genuine Triumph Accessories tank pad, R&G carbon fibre tank protectors, R&G pillion peg blanking plates (rear pegs provided) GB Racing fork protectors, GB Racing frame protectors, GB Racing rear spindle protectors, Carbon  heel plates, LED sidelight/number plate bulbs, TechSpec tank grips, Adjustable shorter levers, Carbon wrapped chain guard, Black tinted screen (original included) It also has softer K-Tech springs fitted and setup by Traxden Motorcycles which suited the previous owner (OEM Ohlins springs supplied)

The Sprint ST 955i whilst predominantly a sports tourer, can be hustled along very nicely, with it’s wonderful 955 Triple motor providing decent performance and triple cylinder aural delights

Back in the day, it’s main rivals were Honda’s VFR800 and BMW’s R1150 RT, and they were all excellent bikes, but with distinctly individual character thanks to their different engine congurations. The Triumph always fared very well in contemporary road tests and was highly rated at the time

This particular bike benefits from full colour coded Triumph luggage comprising 2 x panniers and 1 x top box, offering huge volume and ease of use thanks to it’s quick release system. Totally standard, untouched, and as it left the showroom with factory fitted heated grips and a carbon style tank pad

This is the Factory model with Aprilia’s formidable APRC electronics package comprising APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) ATC (Aprilia Traction Control) ALC (Aprilia Launch Control) AWC (Aprilia Wheelie Control) and AQS (Aprilia Quick Shift). This bike is genuinely immaculate and all but unmarked. However, we must draw attention to the fact that in February 2019 it was subject to a Category N insurance claim. The 2nd owner had a slight spill and there was damage to the front fairing and side panel. He was paid out and elected to keep the bike, and then had it repaired with new Piaggio panels which were professionally fitted and painted. There is no evidence whatsoever that the bike is anything other than original, but all of this must be noted

This is Piaggio Vespa’s classic retro scooter with a 278cc single cylinder liquid cooled 4 stroke motor developing 22bhp. Enough for around 80 mph, and a great, stylish, commuting machine. Smart, light and fun, with supreme ease of use thanks to it’s Belt driven – ‘Twist and Go’ fully automatic CVT transmission

Spec. includes electric start, centre stand, Brembo brakes with 220mm discs front and rear, double rear shock with 4 level pre-load adjustment, fuel injection, lockable glovebox and two cubby holes, and a bag hook. This particular bike has a super desirable Akrapovic exhaust fitted, along with a tinted flyscreen and rear black protection kit. Cost of extras fitted was £603.14 with invoices present. It benefits further from being an ABS version with ASR (Stability Control)

This bike is quite lovely, just 4 owners from new, with the last taking possession in 2013. 17000 miles with the oil/filter changed religiously every 12 months. Recent DID chain with JT sprockets. The K4/K5 model was a huge step forward from the earlier bikes, and was essentially an all new machine, with new frame and bodywork, massively revised engine, and far superior suspension with, for the first time, radially mounted brake calipers. It all amounted to a smaller, lighter, faster, agile bike

This particular example is hugely original with just a handful of essential options fitted. These include a Scorpion exhaust (+ original) Goodridge braided hoses, R&G crash bungs, Pyramid rear hugger, Suzuki o.e. race cowl (with pillion seat) Dark tinted double bubble screen, Petal rear brake disc, Motografix gel tank pad and Suzuki rim decals. A META CAT 1 alarm/immobiliser is also fitted

Items such as the rear light hanger, and indicators remain as Suzuki intended

GSX-R750s of all denominations are totally docile, and without temperament and have always struck a wonderful balance between the lightness and agility of a 600 Supersport, but with power and mid range closer to the bigger 1000 Superbikes. With 146 odd crankshaft HP, this bike has all but the power of the superbikes of 20 years ago anyway, and as a road bike, to this day, will have no problem keeping virtually anything honest in real terms.

A absolute joy to ride, and the bottom line is that it looks superb, sounds amazing and is properly quick, therefore very nicely ticking all the boxes it needs to
