MODEL SUMMARY.

Excellent example of a 2011 11 Registered Yamaha XT 1200 Z Super Tenere in Deep Purplish Blue Metallic with Black spoked rims.

26000 miles with service history including it’s original service book, service bills and invoice and old MOTs. Recently serviced and has new matching Bridgestone tyres.

These are a fantastic and very versatile machine, aimed at the likes of BMW’s R1200 GS, KTM’s Adventure range and Ducati’s Multistrada. As with those bikes, it has an enormous range of attributes and a real ‘go anywhere, do anything’ feel.

It’s high specification includes Pannier bars, Engine crash protection bars, LED driving lamps, Heated grips, Hand guards, Sump protector, Yamaha ‘D Mode’ with switchable power Sport and Touring modes, YCCT – Ride by wire with Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle, 3 mode switchable Traction control, Linked braking system with ABS, 43mm diameter front forks with preload, compression and rebound adjustment, Monoshock rear suspension with preload and rebound adjustment, 4 piston front calipers with 310mm diameter petal discs, Single piston rear caliper with 282mm diameter petal disc, Tubeless aluminium rims, Adjustable seat height, LCD/Analogue instrument pack and Factory fitted Yamaha engine immobiliser. This particular bike also has a huge 52L Givi top box and mounting rack.

Well cared for from new, this bike is in excellent condition, and looks superb in it’s very pretty Deep Purplish Blue metallic paint scheme. A less common sight on our roads than some of the obvious rivals, and a bike of much character that will an provide excellent service to it’s new keeper.

MODEL SUMMARY.

Brilliant little Suzuki TS 250 Trails/Scrambler. Green. This is an ‘N’ version of 1978/1979 vintage, recently registered on an ‘S’ suffix, and declared manufactured by DVLA as 1978 so Tax and MOT exempt.

Recent works and fettling include + 1.0mm rebore, new piston and rings, new small end, new top end gaskets and full bottom end checkover. Carburettor removed, stripped and ultrasonically cleaned, a new NGK spark plug (of course) and fresh 2T oil. New fork seals and fluid, new front brake shoes and brake cable, and new headstcok bearings. The chain and sprockets are good, as are the matching tyres, and it has had new Hagon rear shocks fitted. It starts and runs beautifully, without hesitation.

The frame is particularly clean, and removing the fuel tank, side panels and seat, reveals the electrical wiring to be highly original, un-tampered with and in fine fettle (i.e not got at) All electrics work as they should, and the original CDI system creates a very healthy spark. The CCI oil injection system is as originally fitted, and functions perfectly.

The bike retains it’s original clocks, with the rev counter and speedometer performing faultlessly, switchgear, lights, handlebars, spoked rims etc, and remains standard in it’s specification.

It is a smart bike in all areas. The tank, mudguards and side panels have been painted to a less than professional standard, no doubt by a keen owner, but by the same token are entirely presentable, and proudly display nice period style decals and badges. It all looks good, but there is room for improvement here, and it would prove simple and inexpensive.

Recorded Category N due to non availablity of new original parts. Total repair cost was just £230 ! We have a full breakdown of used parts that were required and all purchase bills/invoices for them.

Great fun to ride, it is very light, and the 250cc 2 -stroke motor extremely willing, and seemingly giving more than it’s 23bhp. Totally usable, this is a fabulous little bike for spurting around the lanes on a Sunday morning, with the odd bit of ‘green laning’ and trail riding thrown in. As with many other classics, a bike such as this can offer so much fun, a real sense of nostalgia, and enjoyment of use and ownership. Just fantastic.

Whilst the bike is now Tax and MOT exempt, we have MOT’d it in the interests of good practise, and this runs until January 2020.

MODEL SUMMARY.

Ducati 996 SPS, no. 1471 in Ducati Rosso Corsa with Grey lightweight Marchesini 5 spoke rims. UK supplied by Ducati franchised dealers M&S Motorcycles of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Registered May 2000 on a ’W’ prefix, this is a final specification bike with Ohlins forks and more subtle graphics.

Just 11700 miles with service history and paperwork, including it’s original service book + all original manuals, service bills/invoices and old MOTs. Recently had timing belts, fresh Shell Ultra advance fully synthetic oil, fuel filter, plugs and cooling system flush/refill.

The SPS model was the ultimate incarnation of the Desmoquattro motor, just prior to the updated ‘Testastretta’ version that appeared in the 996R. It’s motor was heavily reworked with revised cams, bigger valves and ports, titanium con rods, lighter crankshaft and a carbon fibre airbox. The net result was 123bhp / 73 lb/ft but that only tells half the story. Anyone with an appreciation of these things will instantly notice how quickly the motor responds to the throttle, and with such a hard edged, crisp, note, totally different to it’s lesser brethren. An engineering jewel, and a quite magnificent, highly exotic engine. The transmission utilised a higher primary ration, thereby ‘shortening’ the gearing.

The specification included the best of everything, the afforementioned carbon fibre airbox, fully adjustable 43mm dia. Ohlins forks, fully adjustable Ohlins rear shock, fully adjustable Ohlins steering damper, Ducati Corse Carbon fibre belly pan / undertray, Ducati Corse Carbon fibre front hugger, Brembo Gold calipers with 320mm dia. front discs, lightweight Marchesini 5 spoke wheels in Grey, single sided swingarm in natural aluminium, 102 db Termignoni exhausts and dedicated ECU,  adjustable levers with Brembo master cylinders and remote reservoirs and Ducati Monoposto seat unit in Red/White.

Additionally this particular bike has some upgrades fitted including a carbon fibre exhaust heat shield, carbon fibre heel plates, carbon fibre swingarm protector, carbon fibre chain guard, a Ducati Corse tank protector, Smoked screen, alloy front sprocker cover and adjustable rearsets.

This bike will appeal to any buyer that places great importance on originality, and ownership provenance, two of the most important factors, in our view, when purchasing any collectible car or motorcycle.

A wonderful machine, and one which we have owned personally for a number of years. New MOT provided at point of sale

MODEL SUMMARY.

Ducati 999R, no. 137 in Ducati Rosso Anniversario with Black Forged Marchesini 10 spoke rims. UK supplied by Ducati franchised dealers St.Neots Motorcycles in Cambridge. Registered April 2003 on an ’03’ plate, this is the much rarer ‘early’ type with silver frame and cast swingarm.

Just 8500 miles with extensive history and paperwork including it’s original service book + all original manuals, a previous bill of sale when sold by Snell’s Ducati in Hampshire, service bills/invoices and old MOTs. Recently had timing belts, fresh Shell Ultra advance fully synthetic oil and fork seals, and a replacement clutch fitted at 5200 miles by Snell’s Ducati in Hampshire, whom also checked the valve clearances at 7200 miles. The bike is well known to Snell’s Ducati, and the greater majority of it’s service history is with them.

The Ducati 999 followed the much loved 916/996/998 Massimo Tamburini designed series. Penned by Pierre Terblanche, it became one of the most successful race bikes every produced by Ducati Corse, winning 3 out of 5 World Superbike titles between 2003 and 2007.

Any ‘R’ specification Ducati is a bike of huge desirability, the pinnacle of Ducati’s engineering and exclusivity of it’s respective time. With regard to the 999R, each one came with a factory numbered top yoke, no. 137 in this case, and a limited edition alloy plaque and presentation box which is present with all the bike’s documents.

It utilised a revised 999cc motor, previously seen in the earlier 998R, which significantly was higher revving due to it’s shorter stroke, and had stronger engine cases, lightened internals, revised cams and bigger valves. When hooked up to the standard fitment 102db single muffler Termignoni exhaust system itself saving 3kg (7lb) in weight, the motor produced 139bhp and 80 lb/ft. That only tells half the story though. Anyone with an appreciation of these things will instantly notice how quickly the motor responds to the throttle, and with such a hard edged note, totally different to it’s lesser brethren. An engineering jewel, and a quite magnificent, highly exotic engine.

The specification included the best of everything, carbon fibre fairings and body panels, Ducati Corse Carbon fibre front hugger, a magnesium headlight support, fully adjustable 43mm dia. Ohlins forks, fully adjustable Ohlins rear shock, fully adjustable Ohlins steering damper, Brembo radially mounted calipers with 320mm dia. front discs, black Forged lightweight Marchesini 10 spoke wheels, twin sided cast swingarm, the afforementioned 102 db Termignoni exhausts and dedicated ECU, adjustable levers with Brembo radial master cylinders and remote reservoirs and a Ducati Monoposto seat unit in Red/White with factory Mono rear subframe.

Additionally this particular bike has some expensive upgrades fitted including Ducati Corse Carbon fibre rear hugger, Ducati Corse tank protector, Ducati Corse exhaust heat shield, Ducati Corse heel plates, Ducati Corse lightweight alloy QR fuel cap,  Ducati Performance front number board and armourfending, and a Ducati Performance alloy open clutch cover.

This bike will appeal to any buyer that places great importance on originality, mileage and condition, three of the most important factors, in our view, when purchasing any collectible car or motorcycle.

A truly wonderful machine, and one which we have owned personally for a number of years. Appropriate ‘R999 OOH’ regsitration number will stay with the bike. New MOT provided at point of sale

MODEL SUMMARY.

Beautiful Ducati 888 Strada Ducati Rosso Corsa (Racing Red) with Brembo 3 spoke light alloy rims in Silver.

Originally registered 28th April 1994 in the Netherlands, it’s long term Dutch owner also had a property in the UK, and so the bike was registered in the UK in 2015 when he eventually sold the bike. The original clocks are present and show 29000 km (18100 miles) with the bike now having MPH clocks fitted and all paperwork to support the overall mileage of 19000 miles. All original certificates of UK registration are also present.

It’s a highly original, essentially standard bike, in genuinely lovely condition. Very bright, and very pretty, and owned by us personally for the last couple of years. We love it, and it will always turn heads at a bike meet as you just don’t see 888s, be it a Strada or an SP5. Becoming very rare, but remaining a very useable classic.

The 888 Strada specification included it’s 100bhp 888cc DOHC 4v per cylinder Desmodromic motor, Weber Marelli IAW Injection and Ignition, Fully adjustable 41mm dia. Showa forks, Fully adjustable Showa rear shock, Brembo 3 spoke light alloy rims, Brembo Gold calipers with fully floating 320mm dia. front discs, 245mm dia. fixed rear disc, Double sided swingarm finished in natural aluminium and Adjustable levers with Brembo master cylinders and remote reservoirs. In Japanese specification terms of the day, it was a very high specification machine, eclipsed only by it’s own more exotic brethren, the SPS, SP4 and SP5.

This particular bike whilst remaining essentially standard does have some nice upgrades fitted including Lucas adjustable rearsets, Carbon fibre front hugger, Carbon fibre rear hugger, Carbon fibre heel plates and a Smoked screen. Significantly it retains it’s unique Strada low level exhausts and has as new Michelin Pilot Powers fitted.

Minimal miles covered since having Ducati o.e Red Kevlar timing belts, valve clearances, spark plugs, fuel filter and air filter cleaned/oiled (K&N) but will have new timing belts fitted at point of sale as becoming due on time.

All 851/888 variants are becoming an ever more rare sight on our roads, and all have great desirability. This bike is quite lovely and fast becoming a collector’s piece, if indeed it has not already attained that status. A bike to nurture and cherish, but not so precious as to not still ride and enjoy it. Truly lovely bike. New MOT provided at point of sale, and the afforementioned timing belts.

MODEL SUMMARY.

Well, what to say ? Utterly magnificent MV Agusta F4 1000R 312, a very special and beautiful motorcycle, but with a very distinct difference to most, if not all on the market worldwide. That being, the bike has covered just 9 miles, has had 1 owner, and is in perfect, pristine, effectively new condition. Untouched, and unmodified in any way shape or form.

This bike was UK supplied by Red Dog Motorcycles of Edenbridge in Kent, well known at the time for providing 2 wheeled Italian exotica, and registered in November 2007 on a ’57’ plate. It’s buyer was a young Yorkshire based entrepreneur whom had just ordered the then new  Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 in Pearlescent White. He wanted an exotic Italian motorcycle in matching Pearlescent White to go with his Lamborghini, and so this bike was bought,  simple as that.

The bike was properly stored, and never ridden. We bought it directly from the original owner with 3 miles recorded, it’s test mileage. It’s effectively brand new. Upon it’s return to East Sussex, we drained the original crankcase oil, filled with fresh Motul 7100 10w/60 fully synthetic, flushed/added fresh fuel, and fitted a new battery. On turning the key, the fuel pump primed instantly, and upon pressing the starter button, the bike fired up and burbled away as if it had been used every single day of it’s life. We wanted to ride it, and so rode a 6 mile round trip to have the bike MOTd. Naturally, it rides as new, quite perfect in every sense. When returned to our workshops, the battery was disconnected, an Optimate charger hooked up, and the bike covered up.

The R 312 was so called because of MV’s claim as to it’s top speed capability, specifically ‘312’ kmh (or 194 mph) That proved a little optimistic with contemporary road tests recording mid 180s. This one is in the bespoke Pearl White and Pastel Black colour scheme with Red and Silver decals. Standard specification included Slipper clutch with EBS (Engine Braking System) Revised close ratio gearbox, Revised suspension calibration, Steel trellis framework with cast aluminium swingarm plates, Single sided swingarm, Lightweight 10 spoke Marchesini rims, Fully adjustable USD 50mm dia. Marzocchi forks, Fully adjustable Sachs rear monoshock, Brembo monobloc silver brake calipers with red lettering, Quick release body panels, seat unit, fuel tank and airbox, Patented 4-2-1-2-4 Arrow quad exhaust system, Removable cassette gearbox, Ferrari influenced motor with radial valves, and LCD/Analogue instruments.

There really is very little else to say. This is a quite possibly unique opportunity to buy a ‘new’ 312 R, one of the world’s most beautiful and exotic motorcycles, this model now many years out of production, and clearly a bike that would sit very nicely in any bike or car collection, at any financial level. A glorious machine, perfect, pristine. Just wonderful.

MODEL SUMMARY.

Glorious Ducati 1098S Tricolore in Ducati Corse Red/White/Green Tricolore colour scheme. 1 of 1031 of these were produced, all in the unique Tricolore colour scheme with their trellis frame also in Gold and with Gold forged/machined lightweight Marchesini wheels. Very pretty bikes.

UK supplied, 2007 07 registered and 10000 miles with fully documented Riders and Pro Twins Ducati history. Everything is present including it’s fully stamped original service book, service bills/invoices, old MOTs, all owner’s manuals/handbooks and all keys including keycode card and number tag.

Over and above the unique colour scheme, frame and wheels, these Tricolore models also came as standard with a Ducati Corse Race cowl, and Ducati Corse Carbon Fibre front hugger. More important though was the factory fitted 102dB Termignoni exhaust system with Race ECU, which was an option on the usual 1098S at a cost of around £2000. The Termignonis and ECU added to the ‘standard’ 160bhp / 90 lb/ft developed by the ‘Testastretta Evoluzione’ which, as it’s name would suggest, was an evolution of the ‘Narrow Head’ Testastretta motor seen in earlier 998 and 999 variants (and 996R) and of course added greatly to the aural and visual effects of these machines.

The rest of the spec. came from the more usual 1098S model and included fully adjustable 43mm dia. Ohlins forks, fully adjustable Ohlins rear shock, fully adjustable Ohlins steering damper, Brembo Monobloc calipers with 330mm dia. front discs, single sided swingarm finished in natural aluminium, DDA – Ducati Data Analyser, Moto GP derived LCD instruments incorporating stopwatch and lap timer, and adjustable levers with Brembo radial master cylinders and remote reservoirs. This particular bike also has key desirable options fitted including Ducati Corse carbon fibre rear hugger, Ducati Corse carbon effect tank pad, carbon fibre side infill panels, carbon fibre exhaust heat shield, carbon fibre front sprocket cover, carbon fibre heel plates and a smoked screen. Many of the original parts are also provided.

All in all, a truly beautiful, and wondrous machine, and one of our own personal bikes. New MOT provided at point of sale

UK supplied by Ducati franchised agents Italia Moto of Lincoln in July 2002, and registered on an ’02’ plate. 2 owners from new, and 12800 miles. This bike really should appeal to any buyer that places great importance on originality, and known ownership provenance, two of the most important factors, in our view, when purchasing any collectible car or motorcycle. It has extensive documented history including it’s original service book, numerous service bills/invoices and numerous old MOTs.  Everything else is present, including all handbooks/manuals/owner’s wallet, and all keys including the number tag.

Just had timing belts using Ducati o.e ‘Red Kevlar’ belts, fresh Shell Ultra advance fully synthetic oil and spark plugs.

The Ducati 998 was the last of the Massimo Tamburini designed 916/996/998 lineage and differed greatly from it’s forebears in utilising the then new ‘Testastretta’ motor, literally translated as ‘Narrow Head’ enabling a reduced included angle between the valves, this allowing bigger valves, and necessitating significant re-engineering and re-location of one half of the desmodromic valve gear.

In higher ‘S’ specification, as with our bike here, the motor produced 136 bhp (140 ps) in line with the previous 996 R, which used essentially the same motor, and was significantly up on the previous range topping 996 SPS’s 123 bhp. and the ‘standard’ 998 Testastretta’s (identical) 123bhp. The motor also utilised higher specification materials for the the con rods, valves and pistons, and had a ‘deep sump’ which naturally made for cooler internal crankcase temperatures.

The rest of the ‘S’ enhancements focused on fully adjustable TiN coated Showa forks with a fully adjustable Ohlins rear shock unit, lighter Marchesini rims, and optional (fitted here) full Termignoni exhaust system with accompanying re-map/ECU chip, alongside Gold Brembo 4 piston calipers, 320mm dia. front brake discs, steering damper, quick release fairings and body panels, and an easily replaceable dry clutch (of course)

Many would say that that these bikes are the most focused, beautifully designed motorcycle there has ever been. Whether or not that is the case, if ever a bike was destined to become a future classic, well, this is it, and 24 years after it’s launch, any 916/996/998 Ducati, from a Biposto, to an S/SPS, to an R, remains a thing of beauty, and hugely desirable. This particular bike is truly lovely, and we have owned it personally for a number of years. New MOT provided at point of sale

MODEL SUMMARY.

Pristine and original Yamaha YZF-R1 SP. UK registered August 2006 on a 55 Reg. 3 owners from new, 7300 miles with fully documented service history, including it’s original stamped service book, original bill of sale, service bills/invoices and old MOTs. Recently serviced.

The ‘SP’ was a limited production run with just 500 produced for the European market, and a further 500 of slightly differing spec. for the other worldwide markets, with most going to the US. Numbers 451 to 500 were allocated to Yamaha UK and identical in spec. to all the other European allocation.

This bike is number 47/500 and was sold to it’s original British owner, Mr Morrison then residing in Portugal, by Yamaha Portugal S.A. in January 2006 for the sum of 18500 Euros with the original bill of sale present. Mr Morrison returned to the UK in August 2006, when the bike was 7 months old, and then registered it in the UK. So supplied new in Portugal to a British owner, with all original Yamaha Portugal paperwork present, and registered in the UK when 7 months old.

The SP’s raison d’etre was, as with other homologation specials, a certain number had to be built with the specification that Yamaha required to race the bikes in various world series’. Each bike had a numbered plaque, demonstrating it’s authenticity, and production number, this one being number 47/500.

They were set apart by a unique Gunsmoke Blue/Black colour scheme, fully adjustable 43mm dia. USD Ohlins forks with TiN coating, fully adjustable Ohlins rear shock unit, adjustable rear ride height via suspension linkage, lightweight forged aluminium Marchesini ‘Y-Spoke’ rims in Gold, combined starter button/lap timer switch, a slipper clutch and bespoke ‘R1’ tool kit.

Based upon the 5VY 4th Generation bikes which were launched in 2004 and were the first production machines to meet a power to weight ratio of 1:1 i.e 172bhp for 172kg weight (or 1000 bhp/tonne) for a ‘dry’ bike. This naturally grew the R1’s fearsome reputation with a 175mph top speed, and one road test achieving the 1/4 mile in 9.9s.

These SPs are few and far between, with a distinct collectibility that can only increase. This particular bike is stock/standard and original, in pristine condition, and with low ownership and a very proper service history with a huge amount of documentation present, including the original bill of sale as already mentioned. All in all, a super desirable, and rare motorcycle. New MOT provided at point of sale. All books/manuals/documents/keys (including red master) present
