These Gen 2 Z650s are a fantastic looking, compact middleweight bike, suited equally to riders moving up the motorcycling ladder, perhaps as their first ‘big’ bike, or for more experienced motorcyclists who now just want something small and light, whilst still providing a wholly decent amount of fun
The motor is a 649cc parallel twin, well known to Kawasaki officionados, which in it’s latest ‘very clean’ guise is quoted as developing 68ps. In a bike of this size and weight, that is ample to provide the bike with genuinely spirited performance.
In Kawasaki’s own words, ‘sharp new styling, highlighted by a new LED headlight and TFT instrumentation, gives this 2nd generation Z650 an even stronger Sugomi presence’
The technical specification includes the afforementioned venerable 649cc parallel twin motor, a lightweight trellis frame, Sugomi inspired Z styling, LED headlight and tail light, TFT colour instrument panel, Smartphone Connectivity, Assist and Slipper Clutch and Triple Petal brake discs with ABS braking
