Not many still around like this one. Honda CBR900RR-X 918 in the best colours of Red, White and Blue. 2000 W Reg, 19900 miles with it’s original service book, every MOT from new and all keys. Last of the ‘original’ carb fed ‘Blades, prior to the introduction of the 929 RR-Y. The Fireblade was the most significant bike of it’s time when launched in 1992, and set the tone for all future sports bike development. The key thing was it’s light weight compared to other big sports bikes such as Yamaha’s Thunderace and Kawasaki’s ZX-9R. Between 1992 and 1999, the Fireblade was continually honed and developed, ultimately culminating in this model, the RR-X, the last of the carb fed models, and the last of an era as the later Fi ‘Blades were very different bikes. This particular example is totally standard and original, exactly as it left the Honda showroom, and is in excellent condition with no notable marks, or damage whatsoever. It’s low mileage of 19900 is properly confirmed by every MOT present back to it’s first one in 2003, and the original Honda service book with numerous earlier stamps. For the last 6 years the bike has been maintained by it’s last owner, the proprietor of an old fashioned, family owned local village garage, with regular oil and filter changes. Relatively rare opportunity, without doubt a minor classic in the making, and one which can be enjoyed whilst serving as a good long term investment. MOTd June 2017
