MODEL SUMMARY.
Honda CBR1100XX-X Fi Super Blackbird in Pearl Prism Black. 1999 S Reg. First of the fuel injected variants. 6 owners from new, with just 2 since 2010. Rocketship (90000) miles, but please read on. This bike has been sympathetically, and conscientiously mechanically overhauled by it’s previous owner, and has had a small fortunbe spent on it. Recent work, with all but no mileage covered since, includes oil/filter, new clutch, cooling system overhaul including radiator replacement, thermostat and flush, swingarm replacement/overhaul, new brake pads/discs, new chain/sprockets, new combined braking linkage bearings, new fuel pump gasket (original Honda) and new Michelin Pilot Road 2 2CTs. The net result of all of this is a bike that really needs nothing spending at all, and one that rides in a way that one truly would not believe. We rode it back 25 miles from where it was part exchanged to us, and were simply astounded by how well it rides. Tight suspension, no backlash in the gearbox, super smooth powerful engine, it could pass for 10000-20000 miles in feel. No exaggeration, come and try for yourselves. Nice options fitted include Honda panniers and rack, Delkevic carbon exhausts, Oxford heated grips, Electronic eSystem ScottOiler, Powerbronze dark tint screen, Rear hugger, Carbon style tank pad and a Factory fitted centre stand, whilst standard features include a 24 litre Fuel Tank, PGM Fi Fuel Injection, Digital Ignition Mapping, Ram Air Induction System, Combined Braking System with Linked Brakes (CBS) 3 Piston Brake Calipers and Honda HISS engine immobiliser. Cosmetically the bike is tidy and presentable, but has had some cosmetic paint as it is entitled to given it’s mileage, nevertheless it remains clean and smart.
