MODEL SUMMARY.
Beautiful example of a Triumph Daytona T595 in Strontium Yellow Pearl
UK supplied by Triumph Franchised dealers Jack Lilley Ltd of Shepperton in Middlesex in August 1997 on an ‘R’ prefix, and just 19000 miles from new

The above only tells part of the story however. This is an absolute gem of a bike that has been owned by a retired motor engineer since 2016, and he has very capably and lovingly ensured that this bike is in tip top shape both cosmetically and mechanically
Mechanical work completed in recent times include valve clearances checked and adjusted, swingarm disassembled and all pivot points greased/ bearings re-packed, rear hub assembly stripped, checked and greased, new DID ‘Silent’ chain and sprockets, new Bridgestone T30 Evos, Goldfren HH double sintered brake pads, radiator re-cored, clutch plates removed/checked and measured, air filter, plugs, Motul oil with Triumph filter, not to mention innumerable other detailing/finishing jobs with all these smaller parts listed in the history file
Cosmetically it is just lovely, and the photographs tell the full story. Essentially standard other than for a tinted screen, aluminium bar ends, and polished rim edges. It also has a stainless sports exhaust, and benefits from a colour coded single cowl
These T595s were the reborn (Hinckley) Triumph’s first ‘proper’ sports bike aimed at the likes of Honda’s Fireblade, Yamaha’s R1 and Ducati’s 916, all fantastically accomplished, very quick bikes of their day.
Contrary to the T595 moniker, the motor was a 130bhp triple of 955cc capacity, which provided immense aural delights, suitably enhanced by the ‘pipe on our bike which just sounds fantastic.
This particular bike rides essentially as new, a total joy, and it goes without saying represents a rare opportunity given both it’s overall mechanical and cosmetic condition. Please do not confuse with lesser, cheaper examples as very few are like this one
In our view this bike is too good, and special, to be bought for general use, but would of course suit a collector, and would serve wonderfully for high days and holidays
