These are truly an epic machine, and remain one of the fastest, most powerful sports tourers available. The emphasis is on ‘Touring’ but with a distinct nod to ‘Sports’ The 1352cc motor is based upon the ZZR1400 powerplant, but tuned for a lazier, (even more) torquier delivery. The modifications are quite extensive, and very importantly incorporate Variable Valve Timing. Power is quoted at 160 bhp (with Ram-Air) and 100 lb ft of torque. It all adds up to a very fast machine that is truly wonderful to ride, with handling and agility that belies their size. The powerplant is unsurpassed by any other motorcycle, totally untemperamental, with a beautiful ‘woofly’ character and massively powerful. Just an incredible machine and a huge amount of bike for the money

Nice options fitted include a Two Brothers carbon exhaust and a Power Commander lll USB. The bike has been set up and dyno tuned @ 159 rwhp and 99 rw lb ft (with print out) That’s Rear Wheel power and not crankshaft, and so this bike is producing very healthy power, according to that particular dyno. Also worth mentioning is the glorious note of the Two Brothers exhaust, which sounds utterly superb and pops on the overrun. These bikes are very popular in the USA (marketed as ZG 1400) and these ‘pipes are the ‘pipes of choice there. Other options are a Custom two tone seat cover, Carbon fibre rear hugger, Heated grips and a Datatool S4 CAT1 alarm/immobiliser
