MODEL SUMMARY.
Suzuki TS 250 Trails/Scrambler
This is a machine brought over from The Netherlands in 2018, and is not currently registered in the UK
We have bought the bike from one of our loyal customers, along with two of his other bikes, as for personal reasons he wished to sell, and as such we are selling it on exactly as it has come to us
Registration should be a relatively straighforward process as we have KEY DOCUMENTATION as below
- Evidence of NOVA (VAT) clearance
- Original Dutch registration certificate suggesting last owner for 28 years
- Original Certificate of Conformity dated 15th July 1978
- DVLA registration pack comprising all forms and information required to register
Interestingly, the original owners’ manual dated December 1977 (in English) is also present, along with a period Suzuki ‘Safe Riding’ riders’ booklet
The bike is complete other than for indicators and the battery tray, and genuinely clean. It has good compression and starts and runs. The frame is in excellent condition, and removing the fuel tank, side panels and seat, reveals all to be similarly clean in the hidden areas. The original CDI system creates a healthy spark and the CCI oil injection system is as originally fitted, and appears to function perfectly. The loom and all wiring appears intact and is essentially original, including the indicator circuit wiring. A new Motobatt 6v battery will be provided
The bike retains it’s original switchgear, lights (other than for indicators),, handlebars, spoked rims etc, and remains standard in it’s specification. The front light works correctly, as does the horn and rev-counter. Rear lamp wiring is in place from the lamp up to the battery area but some re-wiring will be required
The chain and sprockets are good, and the matching tyres are new
A certain amount of the usual fettling a bike of this age demands will be required, but in the grander scale of things, for someone with the requisite knowledge and skill, this would be a quite straightforward project and the bike could be on the road very quickly, and is in a entirely reasonable and presentable condition as is
With all classic 2 strokes becoming ever more sought after, and with values increasing, this little bike represents a good opportunity for the right buyer
