This bike is quite lovely. The last owner purchased it in 2018 when it had covered just 12000 miles. The K1/K2/K3 model was a huge step forward from the earlier SRAD bikes, and was essentially an all new machine, with new frame and bodywork, massively revised engine, and far superior suspension. It all amounted to a smaller, lighter, faster, agile bike

This particular example is hugely original in terms of it’s condition, and very clean. GSX-R600s of all denominations are totally docile, without temperament, and have always struck a wonderful balance between lightness and agility with scintillating rev happy power. With 115 odd crankshaft HP, these bikes will still top a genuine 160mph and cover the 1/4 mile in sub 11s. As a road bike, if well ridden, to this day it will have no problem keeping virtually anything honest in real terms.

A absolute joy to ride, great fun, and the bottom line is that it still looks superb, and very distinctive

This is a gem of a bike. Originally sold by Bahnstormer BMW, they then sold it to it’s second owner in April 2016 at 1300 miles. He has retained ownership ever since, returning the bike annually to Bahnstormer for a service and MOT, and it has come to us directly from him

Genuinely a gamechanging motorcycle, the S1000RR was launched in 2010, and in Sport guise, as here, had Anti-Wheelie, Launch Control, Race ABS (Disengageable) DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) 4-Way Performance Mode Selection – Rain/Sport/Race and Slick, Factory Gearshift assist Quickshifter, Anti hopping slipper clutch, Electronic fuel injection/Digital engine management and control with Knock sensor (BMS-K-P) Brembo Radial Brake Calipers with twin floating 320mm diameter 5mm thick front discs and 46mm Sachs BPF Suspension. Quite simply, upon it’s launch, it blew the competition in to the weeds, and remains one of the fastest production road 1000cc Superbikes ever produced, with an incredibly docile and untemperamental nature

In 2012 the Gen 2 model, as here, was launched. Essentially similar to the original bike the Gen 2 was enhanced and improved in almost every key area, with revisions to the electronics, chassis, geometry, steering damper, throttle action and power delivery

This particular bike has some key options fitted which include an Akrapovic titanium exhaust with carbon fibre end cap and heat shield, Factory fitted heated grips, Double bubble screen, CNC billet adjustable levers, Paddock stand bobbins, R&G tail tidy and  BMW Motorrad gel tank pad

With just two owners, low mileage and excellent history, this bike has quite exceptional provenance and is head and shoulders above many similarly aged examples. This is a truly delightful bike that has had an older restoration, and significant money spent on it across the last few years.

Brought into the UK around 4 years ago from the US, it is a 1973 TX650 model with appropriate S650-200XXX frame number. It is genuinely very clean, and very smart, with bright shiny paintwork and excellent brightwork. Correctly registered on a period 1973 ‘L’ suffix number, and is classified ‘Historic’ for MOT and road tax purposes

We have just completed an oil and filter change using Castrol Power 1 20w 50 mineral oil and replaced both the pump filter and sump pan filter using parts supplied by YamBits. We also fitted new NGK B8ES spark plugs

The bike wears (almost) as new matching Avon Speedmasters, and has a well lubed chain in excellent condition, as with the sprockets

With the tank and seat off, it is clear to see that all electrical wiring is in a good restored condition, and the fuel tank has been internally treated. The bike still runs it’s original to design points ignition system

These XS 650s benefitted from having both electric start and kick start, with an integral decompressor unit operated from a lever on the RH handlebar serving both that and the starter motor circuit, and developed a healthy 53bhp @ 7000rpm from their willing, untemperamental 653cc parallel twin motor. Allied to a 5 speed ‘box, with LHS gearchange, this bike is just a lovely thing to run about on. It also benefits from a front disc brake, allowing decent progress to be made at all times, with the confidence that that brings

Open the fuel taps, set the choke, pull on the small decompressor/electric start lever and it will burst in to life immediately, settling down to an even and suitably throaty idle. On the road, it rides and handles beautifully, with good performance and excellent handling and brakes

An emminently usable, depreciation proof, characterful classic motorcycle, that has had all the work done, and properly so. A little gem that will offer much enjoyment and pride of ownership
