As aforementioned, the Gen 1 Daytona 955i is essentially the same bike as the earlier T595, other than for some minor cosmetic differences and a re-designed exhaust system. The T595 was the reborn (Hinckley) Triumph’s first ‘proper’ sports bike aimed at the likes of Honda’s Fireblade, Yamaha’s R1 and Ducati’s 916, all fantastically accomplished, very quick bikes of their day
The motor was a 130bhp triple of 955cc capacity, which provided immense aural delights, both from the induction side and the exhaust
Cosmetically, this bike is just lovely, and very original. Essentially standard other than for a tinted screen and ART carbon fibre rear hugger and chainguard. It also benefits from an original Triumph colour coded seat cowl
Now somewhat of a modern classic, this bike will surely prove to be a sound investment, whilst providing much enjoyment and instilling pride of ownership
