MODEL SUMMARY.
Higher mileage, but very nice and well cared for example of a high specification Triumph Explorer XRx 1200 in Crystal White Pearl. Registered April 2016 on a ’16’ prefix
2 owners from new, with the original owner covering 35000 miles in it’s first 3 years, and having it maintained to an exemplary standard by Triumph franchised dealers. The 2nd owner has covered 10000 miles since purchasing it 6 years ago, and has kept it very well maintained accordingly
The current mileage is 45000, but the condition of the bike genuinely belies that. It is very nice indeed, completely fit and healthy, and needs nothing at all. It has had a recent cam chain tensioner fitted, and has excellent matching Metzeler Tourance XT2s fitted. It’s original fully stamped Triumph service book, service bills/invoices, old MOTs and all books/documents/keys are all present. Current MOT is to March 2026. Clear HPI report.
These 2016 model year onwards Explorer 1200s are Triumph’s ultimate big touring bike, aimed at quite obvious rivals from BMW and KTM in particular. The specification highlights over the outgoing model were Euro 4 engine tweaks, a new exhaust, new seat, electrically adjustable screen, revised riding position, revised bodywork, new riding modes, 6 Axis IMU traction control and cornering ABS, semi-active WP suspension and Brembo monobloc calipers….

The ‘XR’ prefix denotes the more road focussed versions, as opposed to the ‘XC’ models which are a little more off road focussed. The ‘x’ suffix on this particular XRx bike denotes that it is a high specification mid range machine, sitting between the XR and XRt models
They really are a supremely capable adventure styled bike with exceptional levels of comfort and overall usability, with the 1215cc triple motor offering 139ps with plenty of performance, and bags of character . Combined with long travel suspension, keen handling, modern instruments and ergonomics, this could be all the bike you’d ever need
This one represents very good value due to it’s higher mileage, but with excellent ownership and history provenance, genuinely very clean and well cared for, it remains as capable as it ever was. Ready for many more adventures ahead
