These early carb fed R1s were truly a game changing motorcycle, taking superbike performance to another level back in the late ‘90s, and paved the way for future superbike development
This one is quite astonishingly clean and becoming increasingly harder to find like this. Not the cheapest, but an exceptional and original bike with all the right bits fitted, and head and shoulders above the vast majority of similarly aged examples. Only needs to be seen
’90s/noughties Japanese superbikes are now at the age where values are increasing, along with their collectability and desirability. This is certainly an example for someone looking for long term ownership of one of these bikes as a future investment machine
