MODEL SUMMARY.
Very clean example of a 5VY 4th Generation YZF-R1, 2005 05 Reg. in Lava Red Metallic with just 16900 miles covered. Documented service history including it’s original stamped service book, service bills/invoices, and all old MOTs. Recent service and Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs. Has some particularly nice bits fitted including SP Engineering Exhausts, Wavey discs, Goodridge braided hoses, Gold anodised adjustable levers, Dark tinted screen, R&G crash bungs, R&G tail tidy, Aluminium paddock stand bobbins, Powerbronze carbon yoke protector, Shorty indicators, Race cowl (with pillion seat) Rim decals and Carbon tank pad. The 5VY 4th Generation bikes were a completely new model and for the first time ever a power to weight ratio of 1:1 was met for a production machine i.e 172bhp for 172kg weight (or 1000 bhp/tonne) for a ‘dry’ bike. This naturally grew the R1’s fearsome reputation with a 175mph top speed, with one road test achieving the 1/4 mile in 9.9s. This particular bike really is a very nice example of what is a much sought after R1 model, one of the greatest superbikes of it’s generation. MOTd March 2018. All books/manuals/documents/keys (including red master) present
