MODEL SUMMARY.
Nice example of an unusual, individual bike, a Benelli Tornado Novecento Tre 900. In rarer colours of Argento Tornado Silver and Smalto Nero Black, as opposed to the more numerous Silver and Green scheme. This model is characterised by it’s rear mounted radiator and twin yellow cooling fans. 7500 miles with comprehensive history including it’s original stamped service book, service bills and invoices and old MOTs. Valve clearances checked and adjusted at Moto Corsa @ 6000 miles, and documented evidence of the key warranty upgrades these bikes were subject to, carried out by Italian bike specialists Three Cross Motorcycles in Dorset. These bikes have a high mechanical specification, so typical of these smaller volume Italian manufactured models, and this includes the 898cc triple cylinder motor with counter balance shaft, Removable ‘cassette’ type gearbox, Wet clutch, Factory fitted Arrow titanium exhaust, Marzocchi USD 43mm diameter forks, Extreme Technology rear shock absorber with adjustable rebound and spring pre-load, Extreme Technology steering damper, Brembo gravity cast aluminium alloy rims, Brembo 4 piston calipers with 320mm floating discs, 240mm rear disc and twin piston caliper, Assymetric cast aluminium swingarm, Rear hugger, LCD/Analogue instruments with yellow faces, Carbon fibre heel plates and Race cowl. This bike is totally stock and standard, other than for the fitment of aluminium paddock stand bobbins, and an alarm/immobiliser. The first impression of these bikes is that of a slightly clattery, and mechanical machine, certainly versus a Japanese in-line 4. However, that soon changes and with the oil warmed through, and the bike ridden as intended, the motor is a little gem, hugely willing, musical, and one that just thrives on revs. All in all, this is a very clean and original example of an individual Italian bike, relatively few and far between.
