The 848 SF (along with it’s 1098 big brother) is Ducati’s super naked offering fantastically accomplished handling and agility, combined with a wonderful 90 deg L Twin motor and surprising comfort levels.The mechanical and electronic specification is extremely high, and includes a Trellis frame in Red constructed from ALS450 alloy, Black lightweight ‘Y’ section Marchesini wheels, Fully adjustable 43mm dia. Marzochhi forks, Fully adjustable Sachs rear shock, Brembo 4-piston calipers with 320mm diameter fully floating front discs, Single sided swingarm finished in black, LCD instruments, Brembo adjustable levers with remote span adjustment, Brembo radial master cylinders and remote reservoirs, Colour coded belly pan with 848 SF insignia, Rear hugger and a Ducati Electronic Engine Immobiliser.

The motor produces 132bhp / 69 lb/ft, designated ‘Testastretta’ which, as it’s Italian name would suggest, is a ‘Narrow Head’ version of the DesmoQuattro motor seen in earlier Ducatis. Aurally, and in terms of it’s power and performance, this is a quite fabulous motor.
These are a wonderful machine, and this one stands out as having been well cared for and loved throughout it’s life.
