Utterly delightful 2018 68 Reg. Ducati Scrambler 800 Custom
The Ducati Scrambler is a lightweight and compact machine of much fun. It’s technical specification includes ABS braking, a wet clutch with APTC (slipper) control, 320 mm front disc with radially mounted Brembo monobloc caliper, 10 spoke light alloy rims, teardrop style fuel tank, LCD instrumentation and a truly state of the art LED headlamp unit
The original owner took this particular bike to Untitled Motorcycles, well known custom bike builders in London, and commissioned them to create a 1 off, unique and individual Scrambler
Initially the fuel tank and wheels were sent off to Image Custom Design and painted in metallic grey with gold banding and ’70s period style Ducati decals also in gold. The wheels were painted to match with gold flashes along their spokes
The plastic seat pan was modified thus shortening the seat, and then the seat unit itself sent to Glen Moger to be re-upholstered in tan quilted leather
Meanwhile, back at Unlimited Motorcycles, a smaller rear light unit from Alchemy Parts was fitted along with Motogadget indicators front and rear, resulting in a much cleaner look. Titanium Mivv double gun exhausts were fitted at the same time, which clearly look and sound absolutely fabulous, and of course are much lighter than the original unit
The side panels were replaced with ‘Next’ alloy parts sourced through Mugello Moto that were specifically designed for use with slimmer seat units
With a rear mudguard delete, a smaller number plate was fitted, and then lower, more narrow handlebars added
It all adds up to a highly individual, stylish, quite wondrous little bike. Subtly customised, in an extremely tasteful way
The bike has just has a new battery fitted with software updates, and has had a recent annual service including timing belts. Good matching Pirelli MT60 RS tyres fitted
We have it’s original service book, original bill of sale and service bills/invoices. MOTd February 2023. Clear HPI report. All books/documents/history/keys present. The bike is Datatagged from new and also has a BikeTrac Tracker fitted with all paperwork
With just 1700 miles covered, it remains in essentially as new condition, and presents an opportunity for that buyer looking for a Scrambler that little bit different from the rest
