These Z900RS’s are a modern interpretation of the fabled Z1 of the ’70s and play homage to that legendary bike’s character and style. Kawasaki have managed this in some style, and the resultant bike is a quite stunning, very stylish machine, with wholly modern mechnicals, reliability and performance, but with the look of a different age
The standard specification included a heavily revised Z900 motor tuned for more low to mid range power with increased torque, Assist and Slipper clutch, fully adjustable 41mm diameter inverted forks, horizontal back link suspension, 300 mm diameter discs with alumite coated monobloc calipers, teardrop fuel tank in traditional Kawasaki two tone colour scheme, round LED headlight and LED tail light with both playing a distinct homage to original ’70s Z1, bullet shaped analogue instruments, Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) and Lightweight trellis frame. A factory fitted engine immobiliser was fitted and all UK bikes were Datatagged
In addition to the standard specification, this particular bike has a quite wonderful handmade John Campbell Custom Exhaust system which is beautifully crafted and both looks and sound utterly superb. The original stainless system is also provided, and the bike also has a custom gel seat by Harrison trimming, Kawasaki engine protectors, Radiator guard, Pyramid front fender extender, period style chrome grab rail and heated grips
In all but perfect condition, this is a headturning bike that will provide much fun to it’s new owner. A wondrous machine with a distinct nod to a previous age
