Wondrous MV Agusta Brutale 1078RR in Red/Silver with Black trellis frame and Black wheels, a supremely pretty, eye catching and rare machine
Registered November 2008 and originally on a ’58’ prefix, it now wears a very appropriate MV08 RRR plate. 2 owners from new, with the original owning for 10 years, and just 3100 miles covered. Recently serviced including 10w/60 Silkolene Pro 4 oil, plugs, air filter, caliper/pads stripped and cleaned and new front tyre. 1078RR motor with 154bhp / 117Nm allows bonkers performance, and this is a true ‘Super’ naked in every sense of the word. Brutale, or ‘Brutal’ is a very apt name, and it’s a motorcycle for riders whom really do want that raw, visceral feeling that only very powerful, slightly unruly machines provide. There have been many Brutale variants, and it can be confusing for some, but the bottom line is that these pre 2010 1078RR models, without any electronic aids, and more power than the later traction control equipped 1090 badged models (still with 1078cc motors) remain the most focussed of all of them. Liken it to the 2004 Kawasaki ZX-10R vs it’s descendants if you will, or in 4 wheel terms a Porsche 911 (993) GT2 or Ferrari F40. Just more raw and exciting, and, ok, a little less sophisticated than it’s other brethren which only makes it all the more desirable
It’s tiny in size, and has a very short wheelbase which adds to the ‘occasion’ of (having a try at) exploiting it’s power.
