MODEL SUMMARY.
Gorgeous MV Agusta F4 750S, these small early 750 models are acknowledged as being one of the most beautiful motorcycles of all time. Designed by Massimo Tamburini, famed for his earlier Ducati 916 design, these bikes were built to celebrate Cagiva’s purchase of the MV Agusta brand under the helm of Claudio Castiglioni, head of the family that retains ownership today. Ferrari had an influential input in to the design of the motor, which utilises radial valves and a quick to remove cassette gearbox, and indeed the ‘F‘ in ‘F4‘ signifies Ferrari‘s technical input. Key specification included a Steel trellis framework with cast aluminium swingarm plates, Lightweight 5 spoke ‘Star’ wheels, Single sided swingarm, Fully adjustable USD Gold 49mm dia. Showa forks, Fully adjustable Sachs rear shock including ride height, 6 pot Nissin brake calipers with bespoke Nissin master cylinder, Quick release body panels, seat unit, fuel tank and airbox, Patented 4-2-1-2-4 Arrow quad exhaust system, Ohlins adjustable steering damper and LCD/Analogue instruments. This particular bike is in Red and Silver, with Silver frame and wheels. 15000 miles with a fair amount of documented history including service bills/invoices and old MOTs. Recent servicing work includes a Motul 7100 10w/60 fully synthetic oil service, cooling system drain/flush/refill with Engine Ice High Performance Coolant, fuel pump replacement and fuelling checked and mapped accordingly. Recent Metzeler M5 Sportec rear tyre with matching Metzeler front. Fitted with some nice expensive options, this bike has the original patented 4-2-1-2-4 Arrow quad exhaust system with debaffled 1078RR slash cut pipes, Power Commander PClll USB, CNC milled billet alloy adjustable levers, Melotti Parts tail tidy with re-located rear indicators, Suede ‘Alcantara’ comfort seat pad, MRA smoked screen and Optimate flylead. Original screen and number plate hanger will also be supplied. A small but interesting part of the bike’s ownership history is that it was once owned by Dave Myers, one half of the ‘The Hairy Bikers’ and his details can be clearly seen in some of the bike’s history file. Dave references this very bike in more than one interview, and discusses how in some ways he regrets selling it. although he was too big and heavy for it when he had it (his own words !)
