A rare opportunity to acquire a pristine, 1 owner from new, 2002 02 registered Aprilia RSV1000 Mille R with just 4100 miles covered
In Aprilia Giallo Brio (Yellow Pearl) and Blue Forged OZ wheels this bike is direct to us from it’s sole owner whom purchased it new in July 2002 from Motorcycle City, at that time a UK authorised Aprilia dealer
These Milles are a bike of much character, the 60 degree V-Twin motor produces 130bhp and a grunty 75 lb/ft of torque, and of course offers the kind of soundtrack only bikes such as this can. The ‘R’ model of this vintage offered 43mm USD Ohlins forks, Ohlins rear shock unit, Ohlins steering damper, the afforementioned lightweight forged OZ wheel finished in Blue, a lighter rear subframe, Aprilia race cowl (with pillion seat) carbon fibre front and rear huggers, instrument panel cover and fairing louvres over and above the standard Mille
The mechanical specification included the wonderful, musical, liquid Cooled 60 deg ‘Bicilindrico’ V-Twin 8v motor of 998cc capacity, aluminium alloy box section twin spar chassis, aluminium alloy ‘double banana’ swingarm ‘Gold’ Brembo calipers, 320mm diameter floating discs, 51mm diameter throttle bodies, twin spark ignition and a lightweight titanium exhaust with twin outlets
As to be expected this particular bike is in totally original and exceptional condition, and with it’s 1 owner ownership provenance, and very low mileage of just 4100 miles would be very hard to find elsewhere. Aesthetically it is completely stock, standard and original, just as it left the Aprilia showroom all those years ago othan than for a PowerBronze dark blue tinted screen
We have the original service book, original bill of sale, some service bills/invoices and old MOTs. It has just had a Silkolene Comp 4 oil service, new NGK DCPR9E x4 spark plugs, a new Yuasa YTX14-BS battery, and a new MOT will be provided at point of sale. Clear HPI report. The bike runs the well documented, considered essential, de-restriction modifications with revised freer flowing airbox, K&N air filter, de-baffled (standard) exhaust and ECU ‘wire snip’ which enables a slightly richer map. It retains it’s original, well rated, Aprilia ‘RP58’ ECU chip and runs, rides and fuels very well
Significantly, the bike is also provided with a genuine Aprilia Titanium (Ti) Evo Race Exhaust and Gabro ECU chip (not fitted) These exhausts are now extremely rare and very sought after. The exhaust was purchased new from RSVR Racing in April 2003, with the purchase invoice in the file, and has spent minimal time on the bike
