These are an utterly incredible machine, building greatly on the foundations of the earlier single cylinder 690 Duke, and the later twin cylinder 790. The 889cc motor is a parallel twin with balancer shafts and DLC coated finger followers, developing 115 ps and 92 Nm, and mated to it’s 6 speed gearbox via an antihopping PASC ‘slipper’ clutch
The technology is astonishing for a bike at this price level, and incorporates MTC (Motorcycle Traction Control) MSC (Motorcycle Stability Control with Cornering ABS) EBC (Engine Braking Control) RbW (Ride by Wire) SuperMoto mode, Rider Modes (3 way switchable) TFT dashboard, LED lighting, Adjustable tapered handlebars, Adjustable levers, WP Apex 43mm USD forks, WP APEX rear gas monoshock, WP steering damper, Lightweight die cast wheels, and 4 piston calipers with twin 300mm front discs
