These 2015 model year onwards Gen 3 S1000RRs really moved the game on from the previous version. Significantly re-engineered in all key areas, these bikes, very briefly, had a new lighter frame, new lighter (by 3kg) exhaust system, Semi Active suspension previously seen on the HP4 model, completely revised software/electronics package, re-designed cylinder head/valves/cams/induction system to give 199bhp / 83 lb ft, and new electrical system and instruments. It all amounted to an almost new bike
