MODEL SUMMARY.
Excellent example of a 2000 X Reg. Honda Fireblade RR-Y 929, in Sunset Yellow over Lapis Blue (paint code Y-160)
This is a highly original bike, with a low mileage of 17500 miles. Just had Shell Advance Ultra fully synthetic 10w. Excellent matching Michelin Pilot Powers with new rear. Gold DID chain fitted. Front brake braided hoses. Recent fork seals. Original service book. Every MOT from new. Clear HPI report. All books/documents/keys present
The RR-Y, or ‘929’ as it’s more commonly referred to was a very significant bike in the Fireblade’s evolution. The first of the Fireblades to feature fuel injection, and moving power and performance to new levels, all with the delectable ease of use and complete lack of temperament that these bikes had always been known for. Fully adjustable 43mm USD forks were up front, along with Honda’s pro-link rear suspension featuring a gas charged damper and 13 way adjustability. 330mm discs were grabbed by 4 pot calipers, and, all in all, these were a lightweight, very fast machine that also stopped and handled very well too..The Fireblade had moved on
This bike remains ever so true to it’s original state other than for a Scorpion stainless exhaust can, Sprint steering damper, MSliders.com engine protectors, ZAP blue silicon coolant hoses and a Carbon style tank pad. Items such as the indicators (albeit with clear lenses) screen and numberplate hanger are all original, and the bike still wears it’s original dealer plate
This is an honest, straight and original example of what remains a light, quick, untemperamental superbike more than capable of holding it’s own against far newer, more expensive bikes. Needs to be seen, it’s genuinely very nice, and becomimg ever more rare to be found like this with such originality and low mileage
