This is an early VFR800F, being the first of the Fi Fuel Injected VFRs, identified by it‘s manual ‘choke‘ (fast idle) and lack of HISS immobiliser. Following on from the VFR750, this model of VFR was referred to as the finest bike in the world by many journals upon it’s launch in 1997. The V4 engine with it’s gear driven cams has a feeling of complete unburstability, with a unique sound track, and good examples of these bikes remain to this day machines of total completeness, being fast, comfortable, a competent sports bike or tourer, and with Honda’s build quality at it’s finest. A truly wonderful, high quality motorcycle.
Nice options fitted to this one include a sweet sounding Remus stainless exhaust (with original also provided) MRA smoked double bubble screen, Carbon fibre tank protector, Oxford heated grips and Phone holder with hard wired USB power source.
Not to be confused with lesser examples, this bike has led a charmed life. Genuinely super clean and original, fit and healthy, it has both relatively low mileage and low ownership for one of these at this age. Clearly well cared for all it’s life, it remains what is always was, a beautifully built, decently quick, characterful, well engineered machine, and one that will continue to provide excellent service to it’s new keeper.
