An utterly glorious machine, the 1199 Panigale launched in 2012 and shared virtually nothing in common with it’s forebear, the 1198. Most significantly, it was frameless, using it’s engine and airbox as it’s chassis where the engine itself acts as a stressed member.
The 1199 Tricolore S was the ultimate incarnation at launch, the third of three models which included the ‘1199’, the ‘1199 S’ and the ‘1199 Tricolore S’. List price when new in 2012 was £23495 and the model was produced in limited numbers. As such, these bikes are comparatively rare, and have a distinct future collectability.
