MODEL SUMMARY.
Glorious Ducati 1198S Corse SE Special Edition in Ducati’s Corse Red/White/Black colour scheme. 2 owners from new, 10000 miles, supplied by JHP Ducati Coventry and serviced and maintained exclusively by them with the original stamped service book and every service invoice present, along with the original bill of sale. £1750 worth of Ducati Corse Carbon Fibre and JHP options, again with each and every invoice for when those parts were purchased from JHP. The 1198S (and very exclusive homologation special 1198R) Corse SE models were introduced in 2010 with exceptionally high mechanical specifications, and marked the introduction of a new Ducati Corse (Racing) logo. They are significant machines in Ducati superbike history, being the last of an era of bikes that had the Ducati trademark trellis framework and a belt driven motor (the 1198SP was actually the very last of the line, but was not a Special Edition Corse model) These two things alone had characterised Ducati super bikes since 1986, and disappeared with the introduction of the 1199 Panigale. All were finished in Ducati’s Corse colour scheme and came with Factory Team style lightweight brushed aluminium fuel tanks, and Ducati’s official ‘Race Kit’ comprising 60mm Termignoni pipes and a dedicated ECU. The spec. (briefly) includes Brembo monoblocs, Lightweight forged alloy Marchesini rims, Ohlins suspension, Ducati Corse Carbon Fibre front fender, DDA- Ducati data Analyser, DTC-Ducati Traction Control, Moto GP derived LED instruments with stopwatch and lap timer, Aluminium finished single sided swingarm, and Radial brake/clutch master cylinders etc, etc. This particular bike also has hugely desirable JHP rear sets, a gorgeous JHP open clutch cover, lots of very expensive Ducati Corse Carbon Fibre parts as detailed above and a CAT 1 Datatool S4 alarm/immobiliser.
