These carburettor fed 600Fs are a lot of fun and and offer great performance from their very willing, smooth revving 100 bhp ‘four. Allied to a user friendly chassis, it all amounts to a capable machine that will ultimately go and handle very well, and in a fuss free fashion.

This one is really quite lovely. A standard bike other than for a sweet sounding stainless Micron exhaust, and superb, very expensive in the day Harris rearsets. Original parts also present and supplied. Totally original in terms of it’s paintwork, it is head and shoulders above more typical examples of this age and mileage, and is bound to serve it’s new owner very well. Brilliant price range 600, a fast, comfortable, sweet handling and eminently usable machine.

1998 R Reg. Honda VFR800 Fi-W in Italian Red, and most definitely not an average or typical example. Quite exceptional.

This is an early VFR800F, being the first of the Fi Fuel Injected VFRs, identified by it‘s manual ‘choke‘ (fast idle) and lack of HISS immobiliser. Following on from the VFR750, this model of VFR was referred to as the finest bike in the world by many journals upon it’s launch in 1997. The V4 engine with it’s gear driven cams has a feeling of complete unburstability, with a unique sound track, and good examples of these bikes remain to this day machines of  total completeness, being fast, comfortable, a competent sports bike or tourer, and with Honda’s build quality at it’s finest. A truly wonderful, high quality motorcycle.

Nice options fitted to this one include a sweet sounding Remus stainless exhaust (with original also provided) MRA smoked double bubble screen, Carbon fibre tank protector, Oxford heated grips and Phone holder with hard wired USB power source.

Not to be confused with lesser examples, this bike has led a charmed life. Genuinely super clean and original, fit and healthy, it has both relatively low mileage and low ownership for one of these at this age. Clearly well cared for all it’s life, it remains what is always was, a beautifully built, decently quick, characterful, well engineered machine, and one that will continue to provide excellent service to it’s new keeper.

WOW ! Truly gorgeous Yamaha RD 250/350 LC. Registered from new in the UK March 1982 on an ‘X’ suffix. In beautiful Red and White colour scheme.

Actually a 1981 model year 250 LC, with a 4L1 300xxx frame, fitted with a 1980/1981 350 LC motor of 4L0 000xxx type.

Restored from the bare frame up, which has been professionally powdercoated, widened and braced, to essentially show standard, this bike is quite wonderful. Very high quality paintwork and finish, and all but totally unblemished. Morad stainless spoked rims are a classy touch, and look superb, as do the polished forks, yokes and numerous other chrome components. The instruments have been restored as well, with new faces. 

The 4L0 motor runs 4L0 1 carbs, carbon reeds, a lightened flywheel, twin coil ignition, new powervalve headers, RG 250 chambers and F2 Racing carbon exhaust cans. It has decent compression, starts easily, and both runs and sounds superb.

Up front, the forks have uprated internals, and a new RD250 B brake disc is grabbed via a new mastercylinder and HEL braided brake line by a rebuilt TZ caliper on a bespoke mount. The rear hub is an RD250 B unit driven by a new heavy duty 520 chain and sprocket kit. New swingarm bushes have been fitted, along with chain adjusters, a fuel tap and side stand spring and bolt.

Period 350 badging, twin horns and the afforementioned heavier duty chain and sprockets all add to the ‘350’ feel. 

A 350cc ‘ring-a-ding’ 2 stroke, or smoker as they are affectionately referred to, is a different riding experience with very little low down power, torque or engine braking. The little motor needs to be revved, but when it is it will sing in a way no 4 stroke ever will. Just fabulous.

So there we have it. A glorious classic 2 stroke Yamaha that really sounds and looks the business. The pictures say it all, a totally lovely machine that would be an absolute treat to display and show at next summer’s meets.

Super comfortable riding position, superb ergonomics and user friendly, capable chassis are all watchwords of these fabled  bikes, which just get on with the job in hand. Would serve equally well as a first big bike, commuter, or blasting around the twisties on a Sunday morning. Just a great all rounder, and good fun to ride.

BMW S1000RR Sport in Thunder Grey. 2010 10 registered. This bike is completely stock, standard, and as it left the factory other than for a wonderful Sargent comfort seat, with the original also supplied, and an optional BMW Anti Theft alarm fitted from new.

Truly a credit to it’s sole owner, it is immaculate, original, stock, standard and has money no object supplying dealer maintenance from day one all the way through.
