The first of the 954s, this bike has covered just 8500 miles with some service bills and invoices, and old MOTs. The bike covered the vast majority of it’s mileage in it’s first 4 years and was stored for many years unused. It re-surfaced in 2013 when it had covered just 7239 miles, and between then and now has covered just a further 1300 miles. Documented recent service including oil/filter, plugs, injectors cleaned and throttle bodies balanced. Excellent matching Dunlop Sportmax D208s fitted. HPI clear with report provided. The 954 is a significant model in the Fireblade’s history being the last of the Tadao Baba designed bikes, prior to the introduction of the bigger capacity CBR1000RR. Said by many to be the best Fireblade ever, due to it’s light weight and free revving, beautifully smooth engine, these are an incredibly refined superbike with peerless Honda build quality. As such, this is still a very light, and quick, untemperamental superbike more than capable of holding it’s own against far newer, more expensive bikes
This particular example is standard and original, just as Honda intended, which makes it quite a rare thing to be found. Add in it’s low mileage and it becomes a very desirable proposition. It needs nothing at all, having been recently serviced, with decent matching tyres, good chain and sprockets, discs and pads all excellent etc…
954s are no longer easily found like this, and are becoming scarcer as time goes by. No disappointments, this bike is truly lovely, and if you are looking for a well cared for, original, fit and healthy 954, one to keep long term, this bike is it
