The smaller brother to the  Ducati 916 which had launched in 1994, the 748 followed in 1995. The 916, put simply, had blown the world away. At that time, the prettiest (arguably remaining to this day) most focussed, beautifully designed motorcycle there had ever been, and a significant game changer on all levels, thanks to the genius of it’s designer and creator Massimo Tamburini. With regard to all those superlatives, they equally apply to the 748, and many have said that the smaller engined bike is in many ways a more satisfying machine

30 odd years after it’s launch, any 748/916/996/998 series Ducati, from a Biposto, to an SPS, to an R, remains a thing of beauty, and hugely desirable

This particular bike is relatively price range in today’s terms, with the more exotic versions commanding very significant prices. Being a 2002 model year it has a grey frame and it’s original 3 spoke wheels are finished in silver

It’s extremely clean, very pretty indeed, and remarkably clean and original in terms of it’s condition. Essentially as Ducati intended, and all the better for it

The standard mechanical specification included fully adjustable Showa 43mm dia. BPF front suspension, fully adjustable Showa rear suspension, Gold Brembo 4 piston calipers, 320mm dia. front brake discs, steering damper, quick release fairings and body panels, and a dry clutch (of course !)

Subtle extras fitted include a polished sprocket carrier, polished exhaust heatshield, polished brake/clutch reservoir caps, other sundry polished parts, carbon fibre ignition key shroud, carbon style tank pad and ever useful optimate flylead

Totally fit and healthy, this is an excellent bike that needs nothing at all. All in all, an extremely nice and enjoyable 748 that will always turn heads and create interest around it, and one that should prove to be a reasonable long term investment

This is the original 1999 launch model R6, designated 5EB. A truly iconic motorcycle that re-wrote the rules for the 600cc Supersport class in terms of handling and agility, not to mention it’s absolute screamer of a DOHC in line 4 motor with a 15500rpm redline. With 120 crank bhp quoted, this allowed a standing 400m in sub 11s and a top speed in excess of 160mph. This R6 really was the ultimate 600cc Supersport of it’s time and indeed went on to dominate in motorcycle racing at world, national and club level alike (and continues to today in pre-injection classic series’)

It is completely virginal, stock, standard and original, as Yamaha intended, other than for a new stainless Delkevic exhaust, a top yoke protector, and R&G paddock stand bobbins

We have the original exhaust, in excellent condition, but for now have left the Delkevic on as it sounds truly wonderful with an ever so sweet note. Both exhausts come with the bike and we will provide it with whichever one the buyer prefers to have fitted

Essentially as good as it gets for one of these, it will appeal to a buyer whom places great importance on originality, condition, and low ownership and mileage provenance. To find an original first generation R6 that has led such a charmed existence will not easily be repeated, and is not to be taken for granted

Super comfortable riding position, superb ergonomics and user friendly, capable chassis are all watchwords of these fabled bikes, which just get on with the job in hand. Would serve equally well as a first big bike, commuter, or blasting around the twisties on a Sunday morning. Just a great all rounder, and good fun to ride. Decently quick too, with just over 100bhp, enough for a mid 11s 1/4 mile time and a top speed of 140ish

The later CB650F was a lesser product, in terms of the quality of components utilised, and engine power. Ultimately they were ‘dumbed’ down and these last of the line CB600Fs are an altogether superior machine

The DOHC motor is extremely willing, and very sweet in use, and in this case suitably enhanced by a Scorpion Red Power exhaust. This bike also has professionally powdercoated purple wheels and bars, a custom seat cover with purple stitching, R&G stainless radiator guard, tail tidy, crash bungs, paddock stand bobbins and tank pad

All in all, it looks and sounds great, offering a huge amount of fun. As already mentioned, decently quick, lightweight, and with easy handling. Quite brilliant

Designed by Massimo Tamburini, famed for his earlier Ducati 916 design, these bikes were built to celebrate Cagiva’s purchase of the MV Agusta brand under the helm of Claudio Castiglioni

Ferrari had an influential input in to the design of the motor, which utilises radial valves and a quick to remove cassette gearbox, and indeed the ‘F‘ in ‘F4‘ signifies Ferrari‘s technical input

Key specification included a Steel trellis framework with cast aluminium swingarm plates, Lightweight 5 spoke ‘Star’ wheels, Single sided swingarm, Fully adjustable USD Gold 49mm dia. Showa forks, Fully adjustable Sachs rear shock including ride height, 6 pot Nissin brake calipers with bespoke Nissin master cylinder, Quick release body panels, seat unit, fuel tank and airbox, Patented 4-2-1-2-4 Arrow quad exhaust system, Ohlins adjustable steering damper and LCD/Analogue instruments

This particular bike is in Red and Silver, with Silver frame and wheels. We sold it 7 years ago to the previous keeper. 15000 miles with a fair amount of documented history including service bills/invoices and old MOTs. A small but interesting part of the bike’s ownership history is that it was once owned by Dave Myers, one half of the ‘The Hairy Bikers’ and his details can be clearly seen in some of the bike’s history file. Dave references this very bike in more than one interview, and discusses how in some ways he regrets selling it. although he was too big and heavy for it when he had it (his own words !)

Truly lovely Suzuki GSX-R750 K1 in the rarest colour scheme of Pearl Helios Red / Metallic Sonic Silver 

Registered March 2002 on an ’02’ prefix, this is a UK supplied 2001 model year bike. Supplied to it’s original owner Mr Finn by Carnell Motorcycles trading as Motorcycle City in Farnborough, Hampshire, the purchase price was £7113.20 as evidenced by the original bill of sale which is present

Purchased for joint usage by Mr Finn and his son, the bike was transferred into the son’s name in August 2004, and so the V5 shows Mr Finn Senior and Mr Finn Junior as the sole owners from new. We purchased the bike directly from the family and had the pleasure of dealing with both Mr Finns at point of purchase, both of whom had clear affection for the bike, it having been in their family since new 21 years ago

Current mileage is 14700, and virtually all of this was completed in the first 10 years of the bike’s life, with minimal usage since then. However, although scarcely used, the bike was correctly stored and still subject to (documented) oil and filter changes, and has in recent times, in addition to those oil services, had the fuel system overhauled with new pump, filter and hoses

We have just completed a further Shell Advance Ultra fully synthetic oil service with K&N KN138 filter, and fitted new NGK Spark plugs along with new Continental Conti Sport Attack tyres. Additionally we have performed a fresh brake fluid change. Now MOTd November 2024

We have a huge amount of paperwork for the bike including numerous documents relating to the original purchase, service/bills invoices and old MOTs. Alpha Dot security was popular back in 2002 and often applied to new bikes, and all of that paperwork is also present, as is the original Suzuki service book and owners’ manual, and both keys

The bike was treated to some high quality upgrades early in it’s life, most of which are documented, and these remain today. Included is a Genuine Suzuki Race Cowl, Gold Line adjustable steering damper with polished Harris mount, Arrow exhaust with polished Harris hanger and carbon fibre strap, NRC engine covers, HEL braided brake lines, K&N air filter (checked and effectively as new) colour coded rear hugger, R+G frame protectors, R&G bar ends and paddock stand bobbins. The original exhaust in excellent, unmarked condition is also provided along with the pillion seat and pegs

The Y and K1 models followed the more bulbous SRAD model and, as with all GSX-R750s are totally docile, and without temperament. They have always struck a wonderful balance between the lightness and agility of a 600 Supersport, but with power and mid range closer to the bigger 1000 Superbikes. With 140 odd crankshaft HP, and as a road bike, even to this day these will still keep most superbikes honest in real terms

This particular bike will appeal to anyone whom places great importance on ownership and mileage provenance, and originality of the overall paintwork/condition. GSX-Rs of this vintage will seldom be found with the ownership, mileage, and condition/originality of this example, and it clearly sets itself apart from lesser examples. This is not to be taken lightly, examples of this calibre are few and far between

’90s/noughties Japanese superbikes are now at the age where values are increasing, along with their collectability and desirability. This is certainly an example for someone looking for long term ownership of one of these bikes as a future investment machine

This is the all new 650R model launched in 2019 to replace the outgoing 650F….

Key features were a revised motor with a 5% increase in peak power, an assist/slipper clutch, distinctive Fireblade-esqe fully faired styling, full LED lighting and new LCD instrumentation with gear position indicator, shift up light and multi function trip computer, a lighter frame that with other savings reduced weight by 6kg, adjustable 41mm diameter Showa Separate Front Fork (SFF) suspension, radially mounted front brake calipers with fully floating discs and clip on handlebars mounted beyond the front yoke….

It all added up to a much more sporty, more focussed machine, whilst retaining the glorious useabiity and total lack of temperament that these bikes had always been known for

This particular bike has a full Akrapovic exhaust system and EvoTech Performance (EP) tail tidy, both fitted when new by the supplying Honda dealer at a cost in excess of £1000, and of course the ‘marvellous’ Venom Marvel decal kit which looks utterly superb and sets this bikes apart from others

Deriving from the fabled ‘Hornet’ models of yesteryear, this is a fabulous do it all sports bike. Great fun, decently quick, lightweight, with easy handling. Quite brilliant. This one sounds superb with it’s Akrapovic exhaust, looks amazing courtesy of the Venom Marvel decal kit, and is in excellent and original condition
