MODEL SUMMARY.

Glorious 2009 58 Reg. Ducati 1098R in Ducati Corse Red/White with lightweight Gold forged Marchesini rims

These are a very special, true ‘homologation’ bike, built in limited numbers solely to enable Ducati to go racing in World Superbikes (WSB) and various national championships with their larger 1198cc motor, which is an absolute masterpiece. Developing 186bhp / 99 lb/ft, when fitted with the optional full Termignoni Race exhaust system, and Racing Evo ECU, the ultimate incarnation of the ‘ Testastretta Evoluzione’ features sand cast crankcases, bigger titanium valves coated in chrome nitride (CrN) titanium con rods, super finished low friction rocker arms, magnesium cam covers and Ducati Performance slipper clutch. All in all the 1098R offered 26bhp and 10 lb/ft torque in excess of the ‘standard’ 1098, and with it’s greatly enhanced specification discussed below, had essentially the greatest differentiation between it and it’s lesser brethren than all of the other homologation ‘R’ models. That truly marks this highly exotic model out. As standard, and as in the case with this particular bike, the bikes had slip on Carbon Termignoni exhausts along with the Racing ECU fitted, and power was quoted at 180bhp. Also provided was an original ‘standard’ exhaust system

This particular bike is totally standard and as it left the Ducati factory, other than for a Ducati Corse open clutch cover with Ducati Performance anodised pressure plate, and Ducati Corse carbon effect tank pad. Built in 2008 it pre-dates some of the other variants such as the Bayliss model, and differs in that all 08 model year bikes were hand built whereas others weren’t. It was originally supplied by Ducati Ireland when new, and first registered February 2009, and has full and known ownership provenance having had 3 owners from new, with the last owner retaining it for the last 6 years. 10000 miles with documented history including it’s stamped original service book and service bills invoices. Recent Ducati o.e timing belts and NGK MAR10A-J spark plugs, fresh Shell Advance Ultra fully synthetic oil service, new Ducati Performance air filter and and new K-tech fork seals with Silkolene PRO RSF 7.5w fluid. Excellent matching Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SPs fitted. All owner’s manuals/handbooks. All keys including keycode card and number tag. We also have the original exhaust system. Purchased by us directly from the previous owner, it has been registered with DVLA onto an appropriate 2009 58 prefix UK plate

The specification is huge and includes the magnificent motor discussed above, with a trellis frame in Red constructed from ALS450 alloy, monoposto aluminium alloy rear sub frame, eccentric headstock with adjustable rake angle, gold forged/machined lightweight Marchesini ‘Y’ shaped wheels, Race kit  Termignoni exhaust system with dedicated Race ECU, 8 way adjustable traction control controlled by Race ECU, fully adjustable 43mm dia. Ohlins forks, fully adjustable TTX twin tube Ohlins rear shock, fully adjustable Ohlins steering damper, Brembo Monobloc M4 calipers with 330mm dia. front discs, single sided swingarm finished in satin black, DDA – Ducati Data Analyser, Moto GP derived LCD instruments, stopwatch and lap timer, adjustable levers with Brembo radial master cylinders and remote reservoirs, Ducati Corse Carbon Fibre race seat unit, Ducati Corse Carbon Fibre belly pan, Ducati Corse Carbon Fibre tank lower side panels, Ducati Corse Carbon Fibre infill panels, Ducati Corse Carbon Fibre ignition shroud, Ducati Corse Carbon Fibre cam covers. Ducati Corse Carbon Fibre front hugger, Ducati Corse Carbon Fibre rear hugger and Ducati Electronic Engine Immobiliser

All in all, a truly beautiful, and wondrous machine, and in our view the best colour to have a Ducati homologation model, that being Ducati Rosso with a small Tricolore on it’s nose. The most special of all the trellis framed homologation specials produced by Ducati, and of course the last, with the 2010 1198R being essentially mechanically identical

MODEL SUMMARY.

Delightful Ducati ST4 916 in Ducati Giallo, 2000 W Reg

3 owners from new with the previous owner retaining it for the last 9 years, and a very low mileage of 12000 miles. A huge and extensive amount of service history is present, including it’s original stamped service book, numerous service bills/invoices from throughout the bike’s entire life, and every old MOT from new. Just had timing belts, spark plugs and Shell Advance Ultra 10w/40 fully synthetic lube service. Clear HPI report. All books/keys/documents present

The ST4 was Ducati’s then take on the sports touring market, but with a distinct nod towards the sporting element. Aimed at rivals such as Honda’s VFR800 and Triumph’s Sprint ST, it utilised the 4v liquid cooled Desmoquattro from the 916 Superbike, tweaked with a slightly heavier crank to offer a little more smoothness and low down torque. Power was quoted at 105bhp and 69 lb/ft, good figures, and these bikes offer properly decent performance with a top speed of 155mph and a standing quarter in the 11s bracket

Along with the charismatic big 90 degree V-Twin, the mechanical specification includes ‘Gold’ Brembo calipers with 320mm diameter discs, USD 43mm fully adjustable Showa forks, Showa GD082 adjustable monoshock rear suspension and Marelli engine management. It all makes for a machine where fast progress can be made in an enjoyable fashion. An ever useful centre stand is fitted along with an Optimate battery charger lead

This particular bike is exceptionally clean and original, we would say unequivocably one of the very best that will be found. Totally standard other than for the fitment of  a taller smoked screen and an Oberon clutch slave cylinder. With just 3 owners from new, only 12000 miles, and with a quite amazingly detailed history, it is far from easy to find examples such as this nowadays. With timing belts just completed, along with spark plugs and high quality synthetic oil it needs nothing at all. A quite superb bike and a true credit to it’s keepers

MODEL SUMMARY.

Ducati Panigale 1199 R in Ducati Rosso Anniversario with Brushed Aluminium Tank and Corse Decals. 2013 13 Reg. Sold by us to the previous owner. A piece of Italian art.

5500 miles with documented service history, including it’s original stamped service book, previous bill of sale from JHP, service bills/invoices and old MOTs. Recent Shell Advance Ultra fully synthetic lube service and has matching Pirelli Diablo Rosso Supercorsa SPs fitted. All books/history/documents/keys present.

An utterly fabulous machine, the Panigale 1199 R launched in 2013 and shared virtually nothing in common with it’s forebear, the 1198 R. Most significantly, it was frameless, using it’s engine and airbox as it’s chassis where the engine itself acts as a stressed member.

The ‘R’ was the fourth variant of the ‘new’ 1199 range and followed the original launch models, those being the the ‘1199’, the ‘1199 S’ and the hitherto this point range topping ‘1199 Tricolore S’. List price when new in 2013 was £27000 and the model was, in common with all the Ducati R models that preceded it, the ultimate expression of Ducati’s engineering prowess. It’s raison d’etre solely for the purpose of homologating key parts for racing purposes. It goes without saying that these bikes are rare, exclusive and have a distinct current and future collectability.

The motor itself was quite heavily modified over the standard ‘SuperQuadro’ unit, and significantly had titanium rods, a lighter flywheel, DLC anti friction coated rocker arms and revised Mitsubishi fuelling/mapping. This resulted in an internal weight saving of 1.3 kg, lending itself to faster ‘spinning up’ and allowing an increased rev limit of 12000 rpm (+500 rpm over lesser versions) Ducati’s engineers then shortened the bike’s gearing to 15/41, and added a full Termignoni ‘Racing Evo’ exhaust system, fully polished on this particular bike, (officially for ‘track use’ only) which grew crankshaft power to 202bhp. And so, the already fearsome ‘big’ Panigale, became even faster, even noiser, even more monstrous, and of course, even more desirable.

The ‘R’ also had a beautifully crafted and finished lightweight aluminium fuel tank, and a 4 way adjustable swingarm pivot. It wore many expensive Ducati Corse Carbon Fibre parts, quite befitting of it’s £27000 price tag. These included a  front hugger, rear hugger, ignition shroud, heel guards, infill panels, clutch cover, rear suspension guard and swingarm protector.

Bristling with high technological electronic and mechanical componentry the rest of the specification included Ohlins NIX30 43mm dia. TiN coated forks with electronic compression and rebound adjustment, Ohlins TTX36 monoshock with electronic compression and rebound adjustment, and adjustable linkage, Ohlins fully adjustable steering damper, Brembo Monobloc M50 radial calipers, 330mm dia. floating discs and radial master cylinder, Marchesini forged light alloy wheels, DDA – Ducati Data Analyser, ABS – Bosch 3-level Electronic Antilock Braking System, DTC – Ducati Traction Control, EBC – Engine Braking Control, DQS – Ducati Quickshifter, RbW – Ride by Wire throttle control, Switchable engine maps – Rain, Sport, Wet, Taller screen, MOTO GP derived LCD instruments and Ducati engine immobiliser. Also has a Bike-Trac Tracker fitted from new.

This particular bike has key options fitted including the Factory ‘Aero Kit’ with 3 piece upper fairing, Brembo RCS brake and clutch master cylinders with Brembo folding levers,  a CNC clutch slave cylinder, an AFAM ‘Red’ chain, Evotech tail tidy (original provided) and a Carbon Fibre exhaust shield in addition to all the other Carbon Fibre parts fitted.

Wonderful bike, in excellent, original condition. Sounds and looks awesome, with monstrous, mindblowing performance from its 202 bhp / 98 lb ft L-Twin ‘R’ spec. Superquadro motor. With it’s low mileage, and comprehensive history, it must surely become ever more desirable as time goes on.

MODEL SUMMARY.

Beautiful example of a Triumph Daytona T595 in Strontium Yellow Pearl

UK supplied by Triumph Franchised dealers Jack Lilley Ltd of Shepperton in Middlesex in August 1997 on an ‘R’ prefix, and just 19000 miles from new

Everything is present, including it’s original stamped service book and owner’s manual, the original bill of sale, service bills/invoices, old MOTs and all keys

The above only tells part of the story however. This is an absolute gem of a bike that has been owned by a retired motor engineer since 2016, and he has very capably and lovingly ensured that this bike is in tip top shape both cosmetically and mechanically

Mechanical work completed in recent times include valve clearances checked and adjusted, swingarm disassembled and all pivot points greased/ bearings re-packed, rear hub assembly stripped, checked and greased, new DID ‘Silent’ chain and sprockets, new Bridgestone T30 Evos, Goldfren HH double sintered brake pads, radiator re-cored, clutch plates removed/checked and measured, air filter, plugs, Motul oil with Triumph filter, not to mention innumerable other detailing/finishing jobs with all these smaller parts listed in the history file

Cosmetically it is just lovely, and the photographs tell the full story. Essentially standard other than for a tinted screen, aluminium bar ends, and polished rim edges. It also has a stainless sports exhaust, and benefits from a colour coded single cowl

These T595s were the reborn (Hinckley) Triumph’s first ‘proper’ sports bike aimed at the likes of Honda’s Fireblade, Yamaha’s R1 and Ducati’s 916, all fantastically accomplished, very quick bikes of their day.

Contrary to the T595 moniker, the motor was a 130bhp triple of 955cc capacity, which provided immense aural delights, suitably enhanced by the ‘pipe on our bike which just sounds fantastic.

This particular bike rides essentially as new, a total joy, and it goes without saying represents a rare opportunity given both it’s overall mechanical and cosmetic condition. Please do not confuse with lesser, cheaper examples as very few are like this one

In our view this bike is too good, and special, to be bought for general use, but would of course suit a collector, and would serve wonderfully for high days and holidays

MODEL SUMMARY.

WOW ! Quite a rarity and a genuine collector’s bike. Yamaha R1 50th Anniversary in Kenny Roberts colours of Yellow/Black and White with bespoke 50th Anniversary decals

2 owners from new with the 2nd owner retaining possession since 2008. Just 9800 miles with service history including it’s original stamped service book, original PDI and dealership paperwork, service bills/invoices and old MOTs. Excellent matching Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs fitted. All books/documents/alarm fobs/keys (including Red ‘Master) present

These 50th Anniversary models were based around the 5VY 4th Generation bikes which for the first time ever achieved a power to weight ratio of 1:1 for a production machine i.e 172bhp for 172kg weight (or 1000 bhp/tonne) for a ‘dry’ bike. This naturally grew the R1’s fearsome reputation with a 175mph top speed, with one road test achieving the 1/4 mile in 9.9s. The standard specification included Quad headlights, radially mounted calipers and radial master cylinder, 5 spoke wheels, forced air intake with digitally controlled butterfly valves and Yamaha CAT 2 engine immobiliser

Being a 2006 model year bike, the 50th Anniversary benefitted from a 20mm longer swingarm and revised frame and forks to sharpen up it’s overall handling characteristics. The colour scheme was simply gorgeous and most would acknowledge  the Kenny Roberts livery to be the ultimate for any Yamaha. This particular example benefits from having  Yoshimura titanium exhausts, Power Commander lll USB, Pazzo adjustable levers, Laser cut ‘R1’ heat shield, R&G fork protectors, R&G engine protectors, R&G frame protectors, R&G swingarm protectors, Aluminium paddock stand bobbins, Yamaha tinted screen, Headlamp protectors (removable) and a Datatool S4 CAT 1 alarm/immobiliser

Not many of these bikes will be found, and this particular bike sets itself apart from most of the others in having had just 2 owners from new, with a low mileage of just 9800 miles. It really is a quite wonderful example of what is a much sought after, collectable, R1 model, one of the greatest superbikes of it’s generation

MODEL SUMMARY.

Quite a rarity this one. Really lovely BMW R1100 GS in Red/Silver. 1999 T Reg and a genuine 26000 miles from new. Just 5 owners, and furthermore only 2 owners in the last 17 years

Sadly, the bike was recorded as Category D early on in it’s life in August 2000. We will provide an HPI report showing this

The last owner, from whom we have taken it in part exchange had owned it since September 2015, and the owner prior to him since 2003. It has lots of paperwork and quite recently, in May 2019, had a major service at a cost of £600 which included engine oil/filter, gearbox oil, final drive oil, brake fluid, fuel filter, plugs and valve clearances. The bike has covered essentially no miles since this. It has it’s original stamped service book, numerous service bills and invoices and old MOTs. Good matching Metzeler Tourances fitted. All books/keys/documents present

It is in truly, almost remarkably, good condition, with particular note paid to it’s engine barrels, engine casings, swingarm and gorgeous laced spoked rims which are all all in fine fettle

BMW’s ubiquitous adventure bike, the big GS undoubtedly offers a range of qualities and capabilities not easily found elsewhere, and offers a real go anywhere, do anything feel. Dependable is an apt word.  Venerable 1084cc boxer twin offers under stressed performance and the bike is supremely comfortable

This bike has got some fabulous extras fitted, and has everything you would need if you fancy a proper tour on what is now very much a modern classic motorcycle. It has BMW panniers, bagster tank cover and colour coded bag, Remus Grand Prix exhaust (original also provided) heated grips, MRA touring screen. driving lamps, engine protection bars, sump bash plate, front fender extender, taller touring screen, hand guards, colour coded seat and plug cap covers, ever useful centre stand etc, etc

Additionally provided is the afforementioned bagster tank cover and colour coded bag, a Hein Gericke top box and rack, the original exhaust, the original seat, and a workshop manual

Really looks the part, very bright, and is genuinely quite excellent for it’s age, Not easily found like this now

WOW ! Truly glorious example of a Suzuki GSXR-1000 ZL3 Millionth edition in the unique commemorative colours of Pearl Glacier White and Blue, with a Red nosecone, tail flash and decals and White rims with unique pinstripe decals. Number 1576 of a total of 1985 numbered bikes produced

These ZL3 Millionth editions were produced in 2013 to celebrate the production of 1 million GSX-Rs since the introduction of the first GSX-R 750 ‘Slabside’ in 1985. The year 1985 being key, as just 1985 of these Millionth Editions were produced and sold worldwide, with reportedly as little as 100 or so coming to the UK. Each bike had an individually numbered build plaque on the top yoke, and built upon the specification of the excellent L2/L3 model launched one year previously which in itself was the most radically re-engineered GSX-R1000 since the fabled K5/K6 model.

The unique spec. included the one off colour scheme, a Yoshimura exhaust can, Yoshimura bar ends, Yoshimura engine case protectors, Yoshimura paddock stand bobbins, Red anodized fork caps, Gold anodized top yoke nut, Gold coloured forks, Black Brembo Monobloc radial calipers with bespoke red lettering, Red rear suspension coil spring, Unique pin stripe wheel decals, Suzuki race cowl and a Bespoke key fob with printed ‘R’ logo in Red. With the Yoshimura end can fitted, Suzuki claimed an addition 3bhp, rating the model at 185bhp. They also came with a blue Suzuki branded paddock stand, as shown in the photographs, and this is included. This particular bike also has a tail tidy fitted.

The very high standard L3 GSX-R1000 mechanical specification encompassed Suzuki Ram Air Direct (SRAD) Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) electronic steering damper, slipper clutch, Showa Big Piston Forks (BPF) fully adjustable rear Showa suspension and factory fitted Suzuki SAIS immobiliser.

Totally pristine, this bike is of collector quality, and if preserved and maintained accordingly can surely only appreciate as time goes on. A fabulous road bike, it remains one of the most docile, user friendly and untemperamental superbikes, and is a total joy to ride. All books/manuals/documents/keys present
