The TT600 RE utilises a 595cc air cooled ‘thumper’ single cylinder motor, dry sumped, running Teikei carburation and CDi ignition. A ‘back to basics’ motorcycle, it offers supreme fun through the lanes and twisties, even at moderate speed. Just a great little bike and being the ‘E’ version benefits from electric start

This particular example is a true rarity with such low mileage and ownership provenance. The 3rd owner of 12 years was a die hard Yamaha enthusiast also owning similarly immaculate and well cared for XT660Z and ZT1200Z Tenere/Super Teneres that we also purchased from him

The Super Tenere is Yamaha’s much loved big adventure bike. These later models have decent power and surprisingly agile handling and manoeuvrability. Supreme comfort and riding position allow all day riding with ease, and huge distances to be covered in single steps

The X660 Z Tenere is a go anywhere adventure bike, and smaller brother to the fabled XT1200 Z Super Tenere. ‘Tenere’ both signifies an area of desert in the south Sahara, and the word desert itself in the langauage of the Tuareg (Nomadic) people

With a 21 inch diameter front wheel, twin 298 mm diameter front discs, Brembo calipers and super long travel suspension, allied to a thumping 659cc single cylinder motor that offers grunty performance, these are a great fun bike under all conditions, and with the ability for ‘green laning’ as well

This one has some nice options fitted including (expensive) twin Tenere branded akrapovic exhausts, a factory Yamaha taller screen, SW Motech sump guard and a Metal Mule radiator guard

This particular bike has led a charmed life in that it has only covered road miles in the hands of it’s sole mature owner, and very few of them as well. As such, it is in quite superb condition, and exceptionally nice for one of these bikes. Looks a treat in Yamaha Blue Metallic. Really nice and hard to imagine one much nicer

The CB1100 is Honda’s stylish air-cooled retro, offering effortless performance from it’s big capacity 88bhp motor, and ease of use with balanced and light handling

They are one of the sweetest, smoothest motorcycles to ride that will be found, at any price level, and in any denomination of machine. Just an absolute pleasure to be on, typifying all the values that Honda stand for

This one is the C-ABS model with combined braking effort and benefits from the touring items mentioned previously and fitted at significant cost, in the region of £1750. These include an MRA adjustable touring screen, GIVI pannier and top box racks, 3 piece GIVI Trekker luggage and Engine protection bars. A numbered limited edition, this one being number 117 of a total of 200 produced in these colours. According to Royal Enfield, the camouflage effect is made possible by a hydrographic print transfer achieved by hand, and so no bike is identical

These Despatch models were based upon the later E4 model, so designated for it’s later Euro 4 compliant engine, and along with this has ABS brakes, a 19″ diameter front wheel, a larger 300mm diameter front disc brake, and a 240mm diameter rear disc brake over and above the earlier model

Each bike was individually numbered on the left hand side panel and the model was available in three colours, namely Squadron Blue as here, Desert Storm and Battle Green. Built to commemorate the Royal Enfield Despatch bikes used to such great effect during WW2. Over and above the unique and unusual paint scheme, the bikes had matt black engine detailing and matching exhaust. A total of 500 were produced, 200 in Squadron Blue, 200 in Desert Storm and 100 in Battle Green. They were available to buy through the online RE store only and retailed for £4999

As with so many Enfields, this particular bike has been loved, enhanced and improved with very notably the fitment of beautiful Pajaro wheels, currently wearing as new Ceat tubeless tyres

Performance is enhanced with a Hitchcocks supplied Power Commander V giving smoother, more responsive fuelling from their own custom map, and a Carberry vibration reduction plate further smooths things out in conjunction with +1T front sprocket allowing more relaxed cruising (original provided)

Furthermore, it has a custom dual seat, pannier rails, light grilles, an RE rear mudflap, tinted flyscreen and Oxford heated grips all fitted as extras

These Bullet Classic 500 EFi models look just fantastic, and appear to have come from a different age and time, which of course is their raison d’etre. With combination kick and electric start, and fuss free modern fuel injection, it’s very much a case of being able to enjoy all the attributes of a true classic machine but with peerless reliability

The 499cc air cooled OHV single cylinder motor offers ample performance for what this bike needs to offer, and has the distinctive ‘thump’ that only a big single delivers. The gearbox is a 5 speed manual with left foot gearchange, accompanied by a 7-plate wet clutch. Telescopic front forks and gas filled rear shocks mated with large disc brakes front and rear ensure these little bikes handle and stop more than adequately. Combined with a traditional speedometer, chrome headlamp cowl, triangular tool boxes, rubber knee pads and full length mudguards, amongst many other styling detail touches, it all adds up to an incredibly pretty and charismatic machine, which achieves in every way exactly what it sets out to do. An ever useful centre stand is also fitted as standard

A bike of much character, that will of course appeal to a certain type of motorcyclist and their needs. One thing is for sure, it will always turn heads, and smiles and waves are assured from onlookers. Great fun

The SP was launched in 2014 and was so much more than a cosmetically enhanced model. The most advanced, lightest, fastest, best handling Fireblade of all time at that point, it significantly had a Factory Blueprinted engine with power output quoted @ 181bhp, HRC revised inlet tract, cylinder head and exhaust system, Fully adjustable 43mm dia. BPF Ohlins forks, Fully adjustable Ohlins rear shock unit, Gold Brembo 4-piston calipers with fully floating 320mm dia. discs, Marchesini lightweight rims, Revised lightweight rear subframe and unique single seat unit, Revised handlebar clip ons and footpeg locations and an Assisted slipper clutch.

Available in two colour schemes, either Honda’s HRC tri-colour scheme or the Repsol Moto GP scheme, this particular example is clearly finished in the latter and looks totally fabulous

This is essentially a standard bike other than for some nice R&G optional parts, which include Aero crash bungs, fork protectors, swingarm protectors and rear paddock stand bobbins. It also has Stomp tank grips fitted and an HRC carbon fibre effect fuel filler cap cover

In the ‘real world’ a latish Fireblade remains one of the fastest, lithe and agile superbikes that can be bought, with a midrange, flexibility and lack of temperament pretty much unmatched anywhere else. When those virtues are enhanced with a blueprinted motor, Ohlins suspension, reduced weight etc, etc, as with these SP models, you genuinely have what is one of the greatest road going Superbikes ever produced, at any price

These later Thruxtons really moved the game along for Triumph, with the new 1200 motor developing 97ps, and a hugely impressive 83 lb/ft (112Nm of torque) raising the performance of these bikes to hitherto unknown levels

Whilst the styling is distinctly, beautifully retro, with twin chrome bezel clocks, traditional spoked wheels and black and silver cylinder barrels with black cam covers and polished crankcase covers, the mechanical specification includes ultra modern engineering features such as Electronic ABS, Electronic Ride-By-Wire throttle and Electronic 3-way switchable rider modes, ‘Rain, Road and Sport’

The higher specification ‘R’ model, as here, is furnished with improved brakes and suspension, and has Brembo radially mounted 4 piston front calipers with Brembo radial master cylinder and 310mm diameter floating discs, 43mm diameter Showa fully adjustable Big Piston Forks (BPF) and Twin coilover Ohlins fully adjustable rear shock absorbers with piggyback reservoirs

This particular bike is quite superb, essentially standard other than for a colour coded flyscreen, radiator guard and rear paddock stand bobbins. It also benefits from Triumph’s optional ‘Pillion Pack’ which includes a dual seat and pillion pegs in addition to the standard single seat and cowl

In excellent and original condition, this is a hugely characterful machine, remaining true to it’s Meriden predecessors from an altogether more relaxed, civilised age

The Speed Triple 94 and 94R models were launched in 2015 limited edition models to commemorate 21 years of Speed Triple production since the model’s inception in 1994. The R model, as here, was a significantly higher specification bike mechanically, with Ohlins 43mm dia. NIX30 fully adjustable front forks, an Ohlins TTX36 twintube fully adjustable rear monoshock and radially mounted silver Brembo monobloc brake calipers with ABS and 320mm dia. floating discs

The colour scheme was unique to the model, and in the case of the Jet Black version was very stealthy looking with a general ‘blacked out’ look which even included the Ohlins forks. The model proudly displayed a commemorative Speed Triple 94R tank-mounted plaque, and all of the the Speed Triple logos were in the original 1994 typeface. Adding to the black look was black exhaust silencer wraps, a black filler cap, colour coded rear cowl, colour coded belly pan and dark flyscreen

The rest of the specification included tapered Magura bars, lightweight Black 10-spoke rims, and a Triumph engine immobiliser. This particular bike is totally standard and as it left the Triumph showroom other than for the fitment of adjustable levers and 1050R gel tank pad

The Speed 1050 is a big, naked hooligan of a bike, with a torquey, grunty motor offering fabulous musical performance, and all wrapped in a brutal looking, but still very handsome package. The Triple cylinder motor offers 135ps and 111Nm of torque, and combined with a short wheelbase, upright bars, and the 94R’s fabulously composed suspension and braking, this really does make for an exhilarating ride

In excellent, original condition, with low ownership and mileage provenance, and with complete paperwork and records, this is a relatively rare opportunity for someone looking for one of these wonderful limited numbers machines

Magnificent Honda CBX750 Bol d’or. 1985 B Registered, imported into the UK in 1997, and in the unique Bol d’or colour scheme of Metallic Burgundy over Starlight Silver

The CBX 750 was introduced in 1984 and followed on from the CB750 which had proven such a success for Honda, and the bike which almost singularly brought the British motorcycle industry to it’s knees. Japanese motorcycle technology really started to advance in great steps in the ’80s, and the CBX was light years ahead of the CB, genuinely quite ‘state’ of the art with a dohc 16v cylinder head with hydraulic valves needing no adjustment, and a 6 speed gearbox. Suspension was by air assisted forks with ‘anti dive’ and a single air assisted rear shock and pro link linkage. Our bike has a replacement YSS coil over unit now fitted. Twin 280mm diameter front brakes ensured it stopped well, and with a claimed 93bhp it was decently quick

The Bol d’or model was a limited edition to celebrate the 24 hour endurance motorcycle race held annually in France, and at the time of this bike’s production, raced on the Paul Ricard circuit. As with other Bol d’or specials that Honda produced, it was essentially the same mechanically as the ‘normal’ bike but more exclusive due to it’s unique, and very pretty colour scheme, and limited production numbers

This bike came to the UK in 1997, and has actually only covered 2400 miles in the last 24 years. In fact, only 800 miles were covered between 1998 and 2021, and it has been in regular use for the last year or so covering 1200 miles since April 2021

It was restored, we believe 2019-2021, to a very high standard. There are no bits that have been ‘missed’ on this bike, and the high quality workmanship is evident in all regards, from the wiring, to the paint finish, to the execution of overall assembly. It’s been completed by someone that knows what they are doing, lovingly, and is a credit to them. Recent work includes, of course an oil and filter change, and importantly a carburettor strip/ultrasonic/clean/balance

As such, it is truly lovely. Very true to it’s original specification in every way, it starts on the button, and runs and rides beautifully. It looks absolutely fantastic

We love ’80s classics such as this. Full of character and individuality, but with modern conveniences such as electric start, and none of the more negative reliability traits that can affect older classics. This bike is decently quick, has good brakes, easy, surprisingly agile handling, and is supremely comfortable. Just brilliant, and a very satisfying machine to bimble about on, whilst feeling a real pride of ownership
