Genuinely a gamechanging motorcycle, the S1000RR was launched in 2010, and in Sport guise, as here, had Anti-Wheelie, Launch Control, Race ABS (Disengageable) DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) 4-Way Performance Mode Selection – Rain/Sport/Race and Slick, Factory Gearshift assist Quickshifter, Anti hopping slipper clutch, Electronic fuel injection/Digital engine management and control with Knock sensor (BMS-K-P) Brembo Radial Brake Calipers with twin floating 320mm diameter 5mm thick front discs and 46mm Sachs BPF Suspension. Quite simply, upon it’s launch, it blew the competition in to the weeds, and remains one of the fastest production road 1000cc Superbikes ever produced, with an incredibly docile and untemperamental nature.

These K5/K6 models are considered by many to be the ultimate GSX-R model due to it’s light weight, and 176bhp motor. Later models became hampered by emissions technology and were heavier, whereas the earlier models were less powerful. 176bhp only tells half the story, the mid range torque and performance of these bikes is a match for anything, even all this time on.

Really not many like this one left, with very low ownership provenance, and very low mileage. Completely stock, standard and original, exactly as Suzuki intended and as it left the showroom, Has HEL braided brake lines fitted along with a K&N air filter and a tank protector.

Wow ! Utterly superb, stock, standard and original Ford Escort XR3i Mk3 in Mercury Grey metallic, with Raven sports trim. Supplied by Ford Main Agents Edwards Bros of Salisbury and registered August 1988 on an ‘F’ prefix. Unrestored, and never welded.

70000 miles, warranted, genuine and correct. 3 owners from new, with the 2nd keeper owning it for 21 years from 1997 to 2018, it has an extensive amount of service history, all laminated and neatly filed in an A4 lever arch folder. Everything of significance is present including it’s original stamped service book and all owners manuals/handbooks, the original Vehicle and Customer Service Record stamped by supplying Ford dealer, numerous service bills/invoices, a previous bill of sale, numerous old MOTs and all keys (including number tag)

We have recently serviced the car to include a new Gates timing belt, Shell Helix oil with Ford o.e filter, Motorcraft plugs and Air filter, The fuel system has also been overhauled due to old, contaminated fuel and we have fitted a new fuel tank, fuel pump, accumulator, filter and low pressure fuel hose.

This car is remarkably clean, totally original in terms of it’s panels, and never welded. This must not be underestimated, and makes it very rare indeed. This is not a restored, re-painted car brought back to former glory, but one that has remained unspoilt and untouched from new. All characterising exterior features such as its 14” alloy wheels shod with 185/60 R14 Dunlop Sport SPs, to it’s original fitment Carello 640 driving lamps, to it’s matt black rear spoiler, to the original decals, all exactly as they should be.

The interior is all but perfect, exactly as it left the factory. Photographed without it’s overmats in, the footwell carpets are as new. This really is a ‘time warp’ car, a phrase used all too often, but this car really is exactly as it always was, and sitting in it now is no different to sitting in it in the early 90’s. It’s a standard spec. 1988 model year XR3i, and so has Chubb locks with central door locking, electrically operated and heated door mirrors, ‘soft feel’ 2 spoke sports steering wheel and a tilt and glass sunroof, but no options such as the fuel computer, or electric windows were specified. The only option fitted at extra cost to this car were the dealer fitment front and rear mudflaps.

The CVH engine in this car is super sweet, with a lovely ‘old skool’ rasp of an exhaust note, and combined with a very light clutch, easy unobstructive gearchange, and excellent brakes, the car is an absolute joy to drive.

So there it is. Without doubt one of the nicest, original and best driving XR3is that will be found. With excellent ownership, mileage and history provenance, this is a wonderful modern classic, totally useable and untemperamental, that will genuinely provide a huge amount of smiles and fun, and which should prove a sound investment.

The 954 is a significant model in the Fireblade’s history being the last of the Tadao Baba designed bikes, prior to the introduction of the bigger capacity CBR1000RR. Said by many to be the best Fireblade ever, due to it’s light weight and free revving, beautifully smooth engine, these are an incredibly refined Superbike with peerless Honda build quality. As such, this is still a very light, and quick, untemperamental Superbike more than capable of holding it’s own against far newer, more expensive bikes

Delightful Suzuki GP 125 in Metallic Red. UK supplied in April 1985 this is a rare thing to be found nowadays. Highly original, it even (almost unbelievably) retains it’s original 34 year old rear number plate. New tyres recently fitted

We have quite an interesting history file which includes it’s original owner’s manual, service bills/invoices, lots of old MOTs, a technical/repair manual, and plenty of old V5s. With all of it considered, the mileage at 17000 miles can be deemed to be correct, and also there is a a good picture of the bike’s ownership throughout it’s life

Fettled and tweaked by it’s previous owner, it has good compression, starts easily and settles to an even idle. It rides without fault, with the 15 bhp 2 stroke motor proving willing and quite lively. The little motor thrives on revs, of course that is all part of the fun, and these were considered to be one of the quicker 80s stroker 125s back in the day, in spite of (or perhaps because of ?) their single cylinder simplicity. A little drop of Castrol R in the tank serves to enhance the whole experience

This particular bike should not be confused with lesser (cheaper) ‘barn find’ type examples, with seized engines and distinctly tired cosmetics, sold as ‘easy restos’ It is very commendably clean, ready for fun, and ‘on the button’.

A brilliant price range classic that would suit a youngster whom wants a 125 of character, and decent pace, or as a piece of nostalgia for the older generations. MOTd April 2020.

These ‘Mk1’ 690s are becoming increasingly thin on the ground and surprisingly hard to come by. This particular bike has covered just 5200 miles from new, and is totally stock, standard and original, making it all the more of a ‘little gem’

WOW ! Brilliant and compact 2001 X Reg. Ducati Monster S4 916 in Ducati Senna Grey with Grigio frame and wheels.

As the name suggests, this was the first Ducati Monster to use the 4v Liquid Cooled Desmo engine from the 916 Superbike, and lifting the performance to new levels, with a top speed approaching 150mph, and mid 11s quarter miles.

As the flagship ‘naked’ of it’s day the S4 had a very high specification which included Brembo Gold calipers with Brembo master cylinder, Brembo rear master cylinder, fully adjustable 43mm USD Showa forks, progressive rear suspension linkage with Sachs monoshock and aluminium swingarm, tubular steel trellis frame, adjustable levers, clear and concise analogue instruments, dry clutch and 50mm throttle bodies controlled by a Marelli Magneti ECU. 

Carbon fibre parts abound and this bike has the (must have) Carbon Termignoni exhausts, Carbon fibre exhaust shield, Carbon fibre timing belt covers, Carbon fibre rear hugger and chainguard, Carbon fibre front hugger, Carbon fibre side panels, Carbon fibre belly pan, Carbon fibre yoke protector and a Ducati Performance carbon tank. Rizoma mirrors, Renthal grips and a Colour coded seat cowl are also fitted.

The distinctive Ducati Desmo V-Twin engine sounds great and offers torquey, grunty performance. This bike is highly original, very clean, and fit and healthy. It all adds up to a machine with style and character in abundance, and with a distinct future collectability. The W650 is Kawasaki’s retro parallel twin, much in the mould of the original ’60s Triumph Bonnevilles. With spoked wheels, and lots of chrome, it is not at all obvious that these bikes aren’t actually 40 years older than they really are. They look, and sound, like bikes of a wonderful bygone era, with modern reliability, whilst retaining a certain amount of old skool technology i.e carbs !

This particular bike looks well in Metallic Blue and Silver.  A fabulous old skool bike, so reminiscent of a previous age. Just lovely to cruise around on, in some style, and will always raise smiles from onlookers thanks to it’s period look and character. Looks, sounds and rides totally superb. If you fancy one of these, then this one will fit the bill very nicely.
