The 20th Anniversary Edition was launched in 2012 and was of a higher mechanical specification than the earlier model, having lighter (and prettier) wheels, a slipper clutch, Showa BPF adjustable suspension, revised LCD instrumentation and factory fitted HISS immobiliser.

MODEL SUMMARY.

Exceptional example of a 2007 07 Reg. Honda Fireblade RR-7 in the gorgeous HRC Tri-Colour Scheme of White, Red and Black with Gold wheels, comparatively rare to be found.

14000 miles with service history including it’s original stamped service book, service bills/invoices and old MOTs. Recently serviced. As new Dunlop Sportmax Sportsmarts fitted.

The RR6/RR7 model moved the Fireblade game on, having greater mid-range performance than the earlier RR4/RR5, with a higher revving motor accompanying shorter gearing. A shorter wheelbase sharpened the handling further and front discs were slightly larger, in addition to minor styling/detail changes to fairings, cowlings and the exhaust. Previous model technology carried over included HESD – Honda Electronic Steering Stamper, a factory fitted Honda HISS immobiliser, radial Tokico calipers, fully adjustable USD forks and a fully adjustable rear mono shock. Many would say a much prettier, more graceful looking machine that the later RR8s onwards.

This particular bike has a Scorpion exhaust (with the original provided) Honda Race Cowl (with pillion seat and pegs) Colour coded rear hugger, Powerbronze tinted screen (with the original provided) Paddock stand bobbins, HRC carbon tank pad and Tail tidy fitted.

In the ‘real world’ this remains an extremely fast, lithe and agile superbike, with a midrange, flexibility and lack of temperament pretty much unmatched anywhere else, at any price. Very few RR7s left like this one, with low mileage and in a very original, unmolested condition, with just a few choice extras fitted. Magnificent, majestic Honda GL1800 A ABS Goldwing in Pearl Canyon Red. 2002 02 Reg. 31000 miles with a very good documented service history including it’s original stamped service book, an extensive amount of service bills/invoices and old MOTs. Recently serviced, and all recalls/service campaigns completed. 

These need no introduction. Essentially a unique motorcycle and riding experience, they encompass Honda engineering at it’s finest, with an unfussed, old skool SOHC 2v, beautifully smooth flat six motor, and unparalleled rider and pillion comfort.  A very high quality, well finished motorcycle, and quite beautiful in their own big and substantial way.

Vast equipment levels include integrated luggage with huge capacity and remote locking/unlocking, electronically adjustable suspension, electronic cruise control, electric reverse gear, self cancelling indicators, traditional clear analogue instruments with LCD display and multi function computer, 6 way adjustable touring screen,  AM/FM radio with 6 disc CD, sumptuous padded individual seats with backrests and armrests, Honda HISS electronic engine immobiliser, adjustable headlights with driving lamps, extensive rear lighting, heated handlebar grips, rider to pillion intercom system, and more stowage compartments than the average car.

This particular example has led a charmed life and has had just 4 owners, with a comparative low mileage of  31000 miles. It is in excellent condition, and has been clearly well cared for and loved.

Properly built, and well finished VolksRod with refreshed 1600cc Twin Carb engine. Tax/MOT exempt.

External features include gorgeous chrome Center Line wheels with 16″ fronts wearing 195/55s  and 17″ rears wearing 235/40s, chrome headlamp cowls, handmade wheel arches, exposed suspension detail, chromed engine parts with performance air filters, slammed stance with excess negative camber, external windscreen sun visor and LED lights.

The interior is also well finished with a dinky 11″ diameter 3 spoke steering wheel, although the steering remains commendably light, aluminium dashboard panelling, extensive instrumentation, quilted headlining, LED lighting, chrome rear view mirror and door handles, and a skateboard wheel for a throttle pedal !

Clearly a car of individual character, it runs well, and drives all good. Clutch and gearbox nice, brakes firm and strong, and the 1600cc motor feels genuinely lively.

Clean and solid, and essentially well sorted. ‘Specials’ like this will always need a little fettling, and there will always be something to be done, but all in all this is a decent VolksRod ready to be used.

The 954 is a significant model in the Fireblade’s history being the last of the Tadao Baba designed bikes, prior to the introduction of the bigger capacity CBR1000RR. Said by many to be the best Fireblade ever, due to it’s light weight and free revving, beautifully smooth engine, these are an incredibly refined super bike with peerless Honda build quality. As such, this is still a very light, and quick, untemperamental superbike more than capable of holding it’s own against far newer, more expensive bikes.

Has a gorgeous looking, and sounding, expensive AC Schnitzer Carbon exhaust, fitted from new, and ESI higher level bar conversion as recommended by ACS on their bikes, with original bars present. In true Schnitzer style, fairly loud decals also feature, along with bespoke BMW Motorrad items. There was a further option of ACS lightweight forged alloys which some customers specified, and some didn’t. This bike does not have those, but the very pretty standard rims are fitted with BMW Motorrad decals.
